Perfect for gatherings of family/friends, retreats/courses. (Sorry, no parties). 3 miles from train station direct from London. Unrivalled views to Glastonbury Tor and Camelot. Not a soulless hotel but a quirky home from home with beautiful elegant reception rooms. 8 bedrooms for 17 people and 4 full bathrooms and 2 WCs with basin. A dramatic dining room seating 20, open fires, central heating, and large fully kitted farmhouse kitchen including electric aga, infrared sauna, gym equipment. The grounds include 2 lakes for wild swimming, boating, paddle boarding and picnics, and a yurt for BBQs/cocktails or teenage sleepovers. Firepits and outside dining areas and loungers. We can recommend a chef or house stylist for special celebrations and we can facilitate baby sitting or full staffing. As well as our regular cancellation policy, we will shift the dates if there has been a crisis meaning the gathering is no longer possible on the dates booked.

We had the most incredible stay at the farmhouse with some of our friends and family either side of our wedding in Somerset. The farmhouse is incredibly well equipped, comfortable, cosy and homely with beautiful gardens and spectacular views over the fields out towards Glastonbury Tor. The grounds - including the yurt and lakes with boats and black swans are so unique and beautiful! We had a pre-wedding dinner in the stunning dining room, a BBQ the day after and made many happy memories which we’ll cherish for years to come. Huge thanks to Amanda, Charlie and Ola who were incredibly kind and helpful in the run up to and during our stay.

February Family Get-together

A perfect three day half-term break for grandparents, parents and six children. A big thank you to Charlie and Amanda for their help and to Ola, who was always on hand if we needed anything. The house is amazing. Warm, welcoming and very well equipped. Five stars is definitely not enough!

One of our best family holidays ever

This was the perfect venue for our family holiday and special celebration. Although the weather wasn't as good as hoped, the house and grounds had so much to offer that nobody became bored (even the teenagers). Contact with the owners, Amanda & Charlie, and with the housekeeper, Ola, was excellent and we were really made to feel welcome and at home. We just wish we could have stayed longer. If we could give it 11 out of 10 we certainly would. Sue & Alan

New Park Farm

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at New Park Farm. We found the beautifully decorated spacious house warm and comforting with its numerous open fires, comfortable arm chairs ,sofas and king size beds . We loved the uninterrupted views from the rooms .The house suited all of our party of 15 with ages ranging from 5 to 84 . The house offers so much for a relaxing stay . The grounds are wonderful, we walked , took short boat trips round the lakes and watched the birds and swans.Inside we enjoyed dinners in the huge dining room , played games, listened to music read and gathered around the piano for a family sing along .The house keeper who lives nearby was really helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank You

Could not have wished for more!

A HUGE thank you to Amanda for sharing her absolutely stunning home with me and my friends for a ladies weekend away celebrating my 40th birthday. I have done a number of big house weekends in my time but this one really tops them all by a mile. The photos had us very excited but do not do justice to just how welcoming, eye-catching and homely the house is, and where we were still discovering new things to play with, look at and admire, and find comfort on on day 3! Ola who lives in site have us a really welcoming informative walk around, where we quickly realised our every wish would be catered to, from kitchen facilities, to sound systems, to luxurious comfort both inside and out. The pond with willows and yurt was an absolute fave, and we spent a day down by the lake using the padel board, boats and watching baby goslings swim by. A big fire pit to sit around was lovely and in the winter I imagine just how cosy it would be with fires inside.Really do l cannot recommend this house highly enough. We very much hope to return!

Perfect bank holiday break

New Park Farm was a perfect location for our family’s weekend break together. The property is stunning and surrounded by beautiful and peaceful countryside. There was ample space for for our large family group and the house is perfectly equipped to provide all the essentials you might need, as well as a range of fun things to do including games, books, table football and table tennis. Something for everyone. The views all around the house are fabulous so we were able to enjoy these outside in the sunshine. Ola, whose cottage is nearby, welcomed us very warmly on arrival and gave us a detailed and helpful overview of the house to get us settled and she remained on hand for the duration of our stay to help with any questions we had. Communication with Amanda and Charlie through the booking process was very easy and they couldn’t have been more helpful providing quick responses to emails and helpful advice and tips for our stay. I would highly recommend this property. We will certainly come back!! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at New Park Farm. The house is fabulous for family stays, but for us the stand out is the beautiful gardens and outside space. We had a family celebration and spent the whole weekend outside in the garden.The house has all the amenities you could possibly want, the bedrooms are all stunning with very comfy beds and high quality bedding and wonderful views access the land.Amanda the host, and Ola the housekeeper were fantastic from start to finish, communication was second to none.I have no doubt we will stay again. We truly had the best weekend!

Delightful house in beautiful Somerset countryside

Excellent family holiday home. Lovely to find it so well stocked with everything that was needed for a large party of mixed ages staying for a week. We enjoyed dining in style, table tennis and sauna, walks around the farm, rowing on the lakes and visits to local places of interest. We did particularly appreciate the help during our stay from the welcoming property manager.

July family stay

We had a delightful week at New Park Farm. The house is beautifully situated with long views over the surrounding countryside and attractive gardens - many swallows were nesting when we stayed. The teenagers enjoyed the wild swimming, even in cool weather. The house is extremely comfortable and feels very home-like, with family pictures and possessions.

Incredible week is a wonderful location!!

We had a glorious week from start to finish. Swam in the lakes everyday and the weather allowed us to make use of the beautiful garden, BBQ etc Cannot rate this property highly enough and Amanda and Charlie were perfect hosts whilst their housekeeper Ola looked after us all so well. We had everything we needed for a perfect week with friends, and even the recommended catering was fantastic! We will be returning next year!

An Idyllic Haven

Our family wanted to have a respite from everyday life and relax together in blissful comfort. We could not have chosen a better, more peaceful setting for just that. The house is quite simply, sublime and literally wrapped us in a giant, heart-warming hug. It is beautifully and exceptionally-well appointed. Everything we could possibly have needed was on hand. The owners; Amanda and Charlie and their wonderful caretaker Ola, were tremendously attentive and caring, yet inconspicuous - perfect hosts. 5 stars is insufficient rating for this wonderful, enchanting place.

Totally charming and spacious house and grounds

We were a family group of 12 (aged 21 to 88) and had a most happy and trouble free stay in this uniquely charming house and grounds. All the internal facilities and accommodation were way above any normal expectations, and the help and support at check-in, check-out and in between were superb. We were all left with a feeling of gratitude and (I have to say) privilege for having had the opportunity to spend time in this wonderful little world.

Enjoyable stay

The property is a large family home in its own grounds with beautiful views to distant hills. All amenities are provided at the property with a caretaker on site. The property is surrounded by countryside, so is very peaceful, although there are some nice pubs nearby. Would recommend it.

Charlie is an author, an entrepreneur business man, a pilot and an adventurer. Amanda works in organisations promoting health and social justice. We have restored this 17th century farmhouse into what it is today - a warm cosy modernised welcoming spacious home-from-home for 16 guests - our family home and the project of a lifetime. We love sharing it.

We have owned and loved this house for 33 years. It was nearly derelict when we bought it and we have loved and cared for it, extending it using master craftspeople and constantly improving it while keeping its unique atmosphere. It was our beloved home where we raised our three beautiful children. Now they have flown the nest we are ready to as well, but none of us can bear to be parted from the house forever. As a solution we have turned it into an unbeatable home-from-home for others to enjoy as much as we do. We are not in the business of rentals properties, so each guest is treated with the same care respect and attention we have always given our friends and family when they borrow the house for special occassions. We have 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 further loos downstairs. We can sleep 16 and we have a cot and highchair to lend. Ola is our fabulous part time house manager and she lives in a cottage tucked away across the yard and is always on hand to problem bust anything for you. We are always available for you by phone, day and night should you wish our added support

An hour from Bath of Jane Austin fame, and Salisbury, the beautiful historic cathedral town. An hour from the seaside and a couple of hours from wonderful surfing beaches. Ponies or bikes to rent, (or bring your own pony, we have a field and stable for it). Never a dull moment!
