Perfect mountain getaway

The property is exactly as described, absolutely beautiful and peaceful! The fishing on the property was excellent, and we really enjoyed spending time outdoors. We chose Colorado as part of our goal to visit all the MLB stadiums, and the drive from Denver to the cabin was easy and incredibly scenic. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.

An unforgettable stay!

This place was absolutely amazing—so much wildlife! One evening, a red fox came right up near the cabin, and we even spotted a moose during our stay. I wish I could post videos because I have so many, including one of me sitting on the porch when a hummingbird came right up and poked its little beak through the holes in my Crocs—too funny and so magical!We loved exploring the property and starting our mornings with coffee on the green chairs, soaking in the peace and quiet. The cabin itself was super comfy and cozy—just what we needed.We had such a great time that we even started researching properties in the area! That’s how much we loved it. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent nature experience!

We spent a wonderful stay at Monica’s Cabin. She always was very nice and attended all the answers we had and gave us advice about the zone. The cabin is nested in a remote but amazing landscape yet close to the beautiful town Fairplay. The wilderness surrounds the place and it’s a joy to feel the spring breeze sitting at the porch.Thank you very much to Monica for sharing that little piece of paradise.

Everything we hoped for and more

Absolutely magical weekend getaway! This mountain cabin in Colorado was everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in a truly remote and peaceful location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The views were absolutely breathtaking— a mountain stream, snow-capped peaks, and stunning views of the valley, right from the porch. One of the biggest highlights was the incredible wildlife—we were lucky enough to spot moose on several occasions.The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were exceptional—responsive, kind, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable.If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat with a true Colorado wilderness experience, this place is an absolute gem. Amazing stay

We loved everything about the cabin! The views were amazing, the moose came right up along the driveway, and our girls loved fishing in the pond. We can’t wait to come back!

A true gem!

This place was incredibly peaceful all around. We loved the solitude and natural beauty out every window! We even watched a moose waltz around the property the whole time we stayed! The cabin itself was clean and tidy! The hosts are wonderful and attentive.

Return visit.. just as great as our first!

We love this cabin and hope to come back again! The house is lovely and has all the amenities. But the property is what’s really special. Great fishing right outside the cabin. Our son caught over 30 brookies during our stay!! Gorgeous views and awesome hiking.

Amazing

This home exceeds expectations. The setting is incredible in both beauty and solitude. We saw over 40 different types of wildflowers when we hiked up the ridge and we enjoyed amazing views of the surrounding peaks. The house is well appointed and supplies. It a great getaway.

Moose Alert

We had an absolute wonderful stay at this house. Everything is as advertised. It is in a remote and quiet place in the wilderness. Moose sightings everyday sometimes within 50-60 feet of the house or driveway. If you want to get away from the noise and traffic of the city, this is a place you should consider for sure.

Perfect mountain cabin, perfect owner

My husband and I had such a special time at Monica's cabin. It's beautiful and perfectly equipped, and Monica was perfectly responsive. Can't wait to stay there again!

Absolutely amazing. My family and I will definitely stay here again. Breath taking view, loved that it was secluded, and peaceful. My kids enjoyed playing in the snow. This place really exceeded my family's expectations. Overall , a great place to stay at.

Beautiful

Stunning views with the relaxing sounds of the creek in the background. Several trails were within 30 minutes and under drive time from the cabin. Secluded and full of wildlife yet still close to town. We loved staying here, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Heaven!

This cabin was fantastic! Everything about it was perfect...the location, cleanliness, kitchen cookware, food condiments and spices, bedrooms and living spaces. Easy access to Alma, FairPlay, and Breckenridge and several 14ers. Visited in September and the leaves were extraordinary along Kenosha, Guanella and Boreas passes, all close by.

While visiting family in the Breckenridge, CO area for summer and winter vacations, we fell in love with the area and decided it would be a wonderful place to own a second home. When we found this cabin, we knew it was meant to be. We were so mesmerized by the property and cabin, that we lost track of time and missed our plane home. We love how you feel when you're at the cabin. You're away from all the stresses of daily life without being isolated. The surrounding mountains and creeks and pond make it special. It's a place for us to reconnect with family and nature. And it doesn't hurt that there are so many fun things to do nearby!

Some of our favorite activities include packing a lunch and hiking right out the door and up Mt. Sherman. It is known as one of the easiest fourteeners and the views are amazing. There are various picnic tables and chairs and on a clear night, you can see the Milkyway. Horseback riding, ATV rentals, and white water rafting are all close by. Fishing and gold panning in the creeks and pond are a favorite with the men and kids. And there's a grocery store 10 minutes away with everything you'll need for the pantry and cooking on the grill. Our favorite places to eat in Fairplay are the Brown Burro Cafe (Delicious Mexican), cheese steaks at the Dinky Dairy and everything at Millonzi's. And let us not forget Breckenridge - 23 miles from the cabin door - has everything a resort town can offer. Skiing, golfing, biking, ice skating, shopping, restaurants, tours and events.... We love it all and think you will too!
