For your next mountain adventure, book this cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a calm, secluded forest neighborhood. Backing to miles of U.S. Forest Service land on over 1/2 acre, right at the trailhead popular for hiking and mountain biking at the end of a quiet Tahoe Paradise cul-de-sac. This one story cabin is situated in the location coupled with the setting you are looking for when coming to South Lake Tahoe. Far away from the crowds and traffic, yet only a short drive to town and skiing.

The home is located near Pioneer Trail which is the fastest road to get to places in and around South Lake Tahoe. Head over to a short 10 minute drive to Heavenly Ski and/or the casinos at Stateline Nevada, or Sierra at Tahoe Resort which is 20 minutes away. Several other world class ski resorts are an easy drive away.

During the summer, the drive to the beach is 10 minutes away where you can go boating, jet skiing, or hang out on the beach.

This home is a great find at a great price for a great mountain getaway. Beautifully remodeled in 2020.

• 3 bedrooms. You may not exceed maximum occupancy of 6 people not including 2 children 5 and under.
• South Lake Tahoe has highly enforced quiet hours of 10pm-8am. Please do not make any noise outdoors during quiet hours
• Max occupancy is limited during quiet hours.


Note on cancellation policy: Please note that booking a visit to Lake Tahoe comes with some risks of guests wishing to cancel and receive a refund due to natural disasters or weather related events. Our cancellation policies are strictly enforced regardless of the reason for cancellation. If you need to reschedule your date, you must be in compliance with cancellation policy first. If there is a blizzard, road closure, fire, smoke, rock slide, avalanche and/or any other natural disasters, our cancellation policy will still be enforced as we cannot expect our property owners to be held accountable for refunds for natural disasters which are expected to occur in the High Sierra Nevada Mountain Range on a constant, regular basis.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL TRAVELERS TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO ENSURE PROTECTION IN THE EVENT YOU FEEL THE NEED TO CANCEL FOR ANY REASON.

Cleaning fees also include: Maintenance, supplies, restocking costs. This pays for guest consumables (Such as laundry detergent, soaps, shampoos, starter set of paper towels, tp, etc. For longer stays, we ask guests to purchase). Replacement of items such as broken coffee makers, portable heaters, fans, linens, towels and more. Regular trash removal from bear bins to town dump. We ask guests to assist with optional checkout procedures that are very time consuming such as start dishwasher, wash a load or two of towels. While these procedures are optional for guests, they are highly appreciated to help save our cleaners time, particularly for our back to back turnovers which are very difficult in the Vacation Home Rental industry. – Thank You Lux Villa VR.

We enjoyed our stay

As a dog friendly property you must accept wear and some quality, which we do. This had all the amenities that we needed. Nights cool down but without air conditioning it takes a while to cool down even with windows open. There were a few misses but we asked for hot tub to be cleaned and they were on it quickly. The front screen door did not latch. On a positive the beds were comfortable. This property is on the edge of the forest and a bit South of the lake so be prepared to spend 20-25 minimum to see most South Lake attractions and beaches.

Mt Tallac hike/family weekend

We were very pleasantly surprised with the house. It was enough room for my husband and I to stay a couple of nights, have family Saturday night, and a romantic, 35th anniversary Sunday Monday. The host was very open to receiving messages prior to our visit. And we highly recommend this location.

Can’t wait to be back

My husband and I with our two kids had the absolute best time staying at this property. We were so tucked away from the hustle and bustle that can sometimes crowd Lake Tahoe and we can’t wait to be back. One of the best places we’ve stayed out in South Lake Tahoe

Quite, peaceful, great location to visit hiking, sites, golf tours, gondola, food, oh and with the seclusion from noise and backing up to a national forest, there are bears and we did have one come in and visit us. He apparently new how to Break in and open the icebox and take our food. We thought it rude that he didnt shut the ice box door before leaving, lol. No harm done, just an FYI. The staff was great in getting things back to normal quickly.

Quiet, cozy place in the woods

We loved our stay at the home on Hidatsa Circle. It was right up against the National Forest and we were delighted to walk our dogs on the trails. Inside, the home was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The spa under the pines was lovely. We saw wildlife including a young bear and a coyote in the woods. We'd recommend this place highly!

Birthday getaway

This has been the best rental we have ever gotten. Everything was nice and clean. The host has everything one might need for their stay. We got to enjoy the hot tub our entire stay, very nice and relaxing. I love the fact that that we got that chance to cook a meal and use the grill as well as play some cool board and arcade games! The location was amazing very private and quiet. Would definitely recommend

Weekend trip from San Jose

This house was awesome! Beds were very comfy, pillows meh (but that's always hard with differing personal pref). Showers had immediate super hot water with soft towels on hand. Kitchen was fully equipped (and new frig, dishwasher and range) for us to prepare a gourmet dinner. So many accoutrements tho but no cutting board? A knife sharpener would also be good for dull knives. Stated pet friendly but we never expected that they would have pet bowls, pet toys, even pet treats! Very thoughtful. Superb foresty location yet close to town, hiking, restaurants, lake. Loved the auto lighting up the outside stairs. This 10pm 'sound curfew' is extreme...and to not even find out about it until we got the check in directions!? Weird that you can't sit outside after 10pm to chat or stargaze without threat of being slapped with a $1,000 fine. When did that become a thing and who is going to even be ready to use that fine hot tub until around that time if you're gone all day, return and make dinner, do dishes and then, uh oh...gotta go in now, curfew. We probably make way more noise sitting at the table playing Uno than if we were soaking in the hot tub, tbh.

Family vacation to Tahoe

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and private cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing - the cabin is set in a cul de sac with woods behind for hiking. The beds were comfortable and the cabin seemed to have everything we needed in terms of amenities- the only thing I would recommend to owner/property manager is more towels. We are a family of six and with showers and the amazing hot tub we would need to wash them daily. I would highly recommend this cabin for your vacations.

Great Property!

The cabin is perfect! Has all you need for the perfect getaway - very well stocked. Comfortable beds and furniture. The property is huge. We went during heavy snow and they had some toys we could use right in the backyard! The hot tub was fun. Steve was a great host - good communication. Overall wonderful and can’t wait to return during summer!

Cute and quiet

We had a nice time staying here. Everything was provided for and the area was peaceful. The hot tub and back yard was so relaxing and really immersed you into the woods. Our kids loved the large front driveway where they could play catch and explore the surrounding forest! I would say inside the house, the cleaning could be done more in depth and the carpet needs a really good deep cleaning/replacement. The beds were decent but the bunk bed was super wobbly so my kids and I kept waking each other up with every move we made. I do wish the house had better lighting as the bulbs they have gave me headaches! Overall I would come back here as it was a nice getaway from the usual business of life!

Our stay was mediocre

I would first like to say this was a beautiful house, great location, and a lot of privacy. A few things that my husband and I were concerned and didn’t like was: 1. The master bed was extremely uncomfortable(older bed frame/mattress) along with the pillows. We both didn’t get much sleep and woke up with pain in our necks from the oversized pillows and stiff mattress. 2.The electric fireplace wasn’t working and we were forced to use the nest heat with dried out the house and in result we had allergies due to dryness. I will say that the property manager sent an electrician the next day to fix but wish it would have been taken care of before our stay. 3. Third, the living room couch was also incredibly uncomfortable- it was small and leather which made it even colder! (We stayed during snow).4. Lastly, there was no coffee but the house had many different coffee machines. The espresso machine didn’t wok it kept turning off and on so - clearly it was an older machine and i couldn’t Enjoy a cup of coffee. Overall, the stay was mediocre and wasn’t worth the price listed.

The property as a whole was decent, things i didnt like are as follows: - cant be outside on the deck after 10pm according to owner. - cant use the spa after 10pm owners rule. - no ac and your asked to keep everything on eco mode - outdated washer and dryer - outdated dishwasher - spiders and webs in all of the windows - the front door has a tiny hole in one of the groving details of the wood - you have no control over the lights in the backyard over the spa - dont particularly like the fact that i paid for this place and then afterwards they sent me a list of things i cant do. If im paying for a place i want to know what i can and can't do before i buy it. I wouldnt have paid for it if i knew the rules were going to be so strict for no reason.

Location great for hiking

We liked the location for hiking. The property could use no carpet in the bedrooms since it is pet friendly. We did not bring a pet though. The rug in the living was not clean but the rest of the house was clean. Over all it was ok but could use some maintenance.

A special place!

Loved this place and would definitely return! The only thing I would say is a negative is the route to the hot tub. We wished there was a connecting deck and back door! Nonetheless the hot tub was wonderful and the surrounding forest amazing.

Great House!

Super cute cabin. It would be a little small for three couples to work / hang out in the space but great for two! We had our pup and it was a little hard having no direct backdoor but minor issue!
