Denis was a great host and spoke good English which was very helpful. He was discreet but also available if needed, he and his wife even gave us two comfortable sun chairs when they noticed we were using their outside wooden table chairs to sit on in the warm October sun! The property is lovely and modern and comfortable, the hot tub was a lovely addition which we used everyday after exploring the Dordogne/Lot region. The garden was peaceful and quiet and a very relaxing place to stay. Thank you Denis for letting us stay at your property, hopefully we will return.

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Denis, la maison est très bien équipée et idéalement située. Au calme mais proche de toutes les activités touristiques. Le spa est un vrai plus.

Tranquillity

The property is contained in a gated totally secure plot. Although Denis resided in an adjacent house, it cannot be seen and is private. The gite is very well equipped with new/modern appliances. The air con if very good, in both bedrooms and the lounge. Outside there is seating, under a large umbrella with loungers and a hot tub (didnt get in the tub). Total peace. Nearby Sarlat has a large LeClerk supermarket a 10 min drive away. There are many local attractions and if you want to travel further afield. 30/60 mins Rockamadour, Geouffre de Padriac, Cahors Bergerac amongst others. There are a number of "Prehistoric" sites and Chateau's within easy reach as well a many restaurants. Denis has a good command of English and is very helpful, but discreet , he made some reservations for us at local restaurants. Would defiantly revisit

Erlebnis Périgord Noir

Wir hatten sehr schöne 10 Tage im Mai im Haus von Denis, der ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber war. Das Haus bietet viel mehr, als das Inserat zeigt. Es hat uns an absolut nichts gefehlt. Das Haus ist modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Betten waren sehr gut. Das Draußen mit dem Whirlpool rundet einen absolut positiven Eindruck ab. Die Nähe zu Sarlat-la-Canéda war super. Das Périgord Noir ist eine Reise wert und gern im Haus von Denis.

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Landschaft

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll und wertig eingerichtet. Man kann sich gut, auch mit mehreren Personen im großzügigen Wohn-/Essbereich aufhalten. Alles ist modern und funktioniert. Der umliegende Garten ist riesig (auch für Hundebesitzer geeignet) und man kann die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit auf der Terrasse genießen. Ein absolutes Highlight ist der große, saubere und gepflegte Whirlpool. Wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.

The best rental ever!

This property is just as described. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, modern and comfortable. Thoughtfully laid out with plenty of space for your stuff. Genuinely the best place we have ever rented! It's up a steep slope (you probably need a car to be based here), away from the road and surrounded by woodland where we saw birds and deer. Denis is a lovely host (and speaks good English). He lives next door, but you'd never know he was there, unless you need something. All in all - totally recommended.

Fabulous property, exceeded our expectations.

This is a wonderful property, in perfect surroundings, very quiet and peaceful, yet only a few kilometres from Sarlat and many other beautiful places. Everything at the property is of a very high standard and the host was so helpful in making sure that we had everything that we required. My husband is in a wheelchair and the property is very accessible. We will most definitely be going back for another visit. Highly recommend.

Une belle résidence qui domine la vallée

Tout en haut d'un chemin qui serpente dans une pente abrupte et un environnement boisé, la clairière du gite apparaît. Le logement est récent et très agréable. Nous avons passé de superbes moments. Les propriétaires sont super sympathiques. On y retourne demain !

Fantastic property and wonderful host

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Denis, the host, who speaks very good English, greeted us as we arrived and felt like a friend by the time we left. The property is exceptionally clean and has everything needed for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be returning again soon.

Heerlijk verblijf!

Een heerlijke gelijkvloerse woning op een prachtig stuk grond. De eigenaar woont ernaast maar geeft je alle privacy. Hij staat echter klaar als er vragen zijn. Het huis heeft alles wat je maar nodig hebt. De jacuzzi is een echte bonus. Vele bezienswaardigheden op korte afstand. Wij hebben genoten ook al was het maar voor 4 dagen. Als we kunnen, komen we zeker terug!

What a fabulous house, everything as new with many special touches. An extremely helpful and charming host and a location ideal for visiting the major attractions. We were very sorry to leave after 5 days and look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent host, dog friendly property close to main attractions

From the time we booked to the time we departed the property the host (Denis) provided excellent service and information. The property was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. Quality furnishings and extremely well equipped. Our dogs enjoyed the expansive garden- Denis happy for them to run free. The house is set well back from the access lane and gardens so large there was no issues with them doing this. The river and a couple of restaurants within 10 minutes drive or a 35 minute walk. Daily swim for us and the dogs and pebble beach area welcome during hot weather

Amazing place

Just had an fantastic stay at Denis's gorgeous property. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended for an extra 4 days. It's furnished & equipped to a high standard & has everything you could possibly need. It's located very close to the main tourist sites. Denis is the perfect host & was very accommodating during our stay. Hope to be back one day
