Newly Remodeled Condo at Terry Peak Ski Area with Hot Tub & Pool/Sauna Access

With a mix of rustic ski lodge and modern farmhouse decor, the newly remodeled Alpine Villa is privately owned and part of the Barefoot Resort complex. Guests will have access to all resort amenities including an onsite hot tub as well as a pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise room located in the Vista building just a one-minute drive or five-minute walk from the condo. Situated on the ground level, the 1050 sq. ft. retreat features a spacious master bedroom and private bath, a second bedroom and adjacent bath, and a full-sized kitchen well-stocked with all the wares needed to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal. Parking is located in front of the condo unit. Trailers are not permitted in the condo parking lot; however, free trailer parking is permitted in summer in the Stewart Lodge parking lot (1/4 mile away). Please notify me to obtain a parking tag for trailers. After a long day of activities, guests can gather around the fireplace for an evening of games, movies, or conversation while enjoying the ambience of the freshly decorated interior. Situated in the pines at the top of Terry Peak, the dwelling boasts breathtaking views of the Black Hills as well as Bear Butte and the prairie below. The condo is the perfect place for the outdoor enthusiast. In winter, the ski slopes are a one-minute drive around the bend and snowmobiles can access trails right from the Stewart Lodge parking lot. Summer offers a never-ending list of things to do including hiking, biking, ATV-ing, spelunking, mine tours, and wine tasting, not to mention quick access to great restaurants, concerts, and other special events in Deadwood and Lead, which are a beautiful 10-15 minute drive away. Come make some memories!

What a great stay we had, Our host kicked off the stay by leaving us a bottle of local wine and a package of locally owned coffee. So classy and thoughtful. The location to Terry Peak is perfect, and outside of town far enough to feel in the wilderness. Just a short drive to both Lead and Deadwood.

Amazing cozy place!

Came to enjoy the Sturgis motorcycle event. Mieka was wonderful! Great communicator and hostess. The place is well stocked, decorated very fashionable for a ski resort and spotless. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Peaceful and quiet at night to enable a good night sleep.10 minutes to Lead and 15-20 minutes to Deadwood.If we come back this will be our go to place.

My family and I have stayed at many properties over the years from Omaha to Georgia and this is by far one of the best. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the property were unmatched! We loved the location and ease of parking as well as the amenities including hot tub and pool! We plan on making this a yearly trip to Deadwood and hope to stay at this location again!

Perfect girls weekend

We went on a mom/daughter trip. Two adults and two 16 year old girls. The location was perfect, we loved the decor, and the condo had everything we needed! The girls got to go snowboarding while us moms stayed at the condo and read books. The hot tub was super convenient to use, and we also got to use the exercise room in the Vista every day. On top of that, the host was amazing to communicate with, made sure we had everything we needed and left the cutest welcome gift. Check out was so simple. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a great place within seconds to Terry Peak!

Wonderful place to stay

Our family enjoyed our three night ski trip in this cozy condo convienently located near the slopes of Terry Peak. It's beautifully decorated and felt like home. This will be our first choice on future visits to the Blackhills.

Wonderful!

The place was decorated very tastefully and everything was top notch. The host even left us a bottle of wine and some gourmet coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our dear friends and would definitely stay here again!

Great Place

Condo was very clean and newly updated! Beds were comfortable and condo was very spacious. We loved having the condo on the ground level as my daughter was using crutches. Easy access to condo for her. We would definitely stay here again!

FABULOUS!!

This was the cleanest, cutest VRBO we have ever stayed in. It was perfectly decorated. It was equipped with everything you would ever need. The host responded right away when I had questions. I would stay her again and again and would HIGHLY recommend it!

I cant begin to say what a wonderful experience this was!! First....this is the cleanest condo i have ever stayed at!!! Some reviews say clean, but this condo was exceptionally clean!!! Mountain retreat

Fantastic place to stay. You have everything you need as the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms had plenty of towels. Mieke was very pleasant. I highly recommend this property.

Get Away with Good Friends

The condo was perfect...clean, well decorated, had everything you would possibly need during your stay. The owner had a lovely note welcoming us with a bottle of wine and specialty coffee, as it was our anniversaries, too. Mieka was quick in responding to questions I had. We were 2 couples that trailered our motorcycles from 2 different states. Arrangements are made to store the trailers off property. I will warn you, the driveway up to condo is VERY steep that has a sharp corner at the bottom. And sand/gravel will collect at the bottom when it probably rains. Caution must be used driving the motorcycle up the driveway.

The Perfect Stay for a Ski Adventure at Terry Peak

This was the best vacation rental experience our group (4 ~30-yr old adults) has ever experienced. The property manager was very friendly, flexible, and communicative about approaching inclement weather impacting our trip to this property for a weekend of skiing. When we arrived to the VRBO, a bottle of wine and specialty coffee awaited us with a handwritten note – a wonderful start to an incredible stay. With the property situated ~500 feet from the parking lot of the Terry Peak ski area, it was extremely convenient property to relax and eat breakfast, before packing up our group and driving 1 minute to get to the base on the ski area. With the closeness to the ski area, it was also so convenient for us to drive back and forth for lunches at the property or if someone wanted to call it a day after a morning of skiing. After a full day of quad-trembling skiing, it was a blessing having to drive all of 1 block to be back at the property for showering before a quick getaway to dinners in Lead / Deadwood. The hot water / water pressure combination in the bathrooms would make Jerry and Kramer jealous – without even mentioning the softest towels we’ve ever experienced at a hotel / vacation property. If you are wanting to take a ski trip to Terry Peak – look no further than this location for your next adventure!

Great Terry Peak condo

The condo is very thoughtfully organized with plenty of space. Very nice cookware. Very comfortable bedding and linens. Very well decorated. There was some snow during our stay and the plows were very consistent at keeping the parking lot cleared off (a very important service during our stay). Loved the view from the front of the condo. Hostess is great from the reservations through our stay. So thorough in providing instructions and assistance with any questions. In short, a very nice vacation rental.

Being raised in South Dakota, I have always loved and appreciated the beauty of the Black Hills and all there is to see and do. For the past 25 years, my husband and I have lived in Rapid City where we raised our two daughters and were involved in many of their school and extracurricular activities. As a family, we always enjoyed and took advantage of the many amazing sights and activities available in the area such as skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, rock climbing, spelunking, etc. When we became empty-nesters, I embarked on the journey of purchasing and remodeling my condo with the intention of using it as a vacation rental. I wanted to share with others all that we have appreciated and loved through the years about the beautiful Black Hills.

After looking at many properties, I chose the Terry Peak condo because it had the most beautiful view and was a one-minute drive to Stewart Lodge which is Terry Peak's largest lodge. It's exhilarating being at the top of a mountain! I also appreciated its close proximity to Deadwood and Lead and the many sights, activities, and restaurants they offer.

I believe the number one thing that makes my property stand out from the rest is that it is newly remodeled and very clean. In addition, I painstakingly chose all the interior decor with the intention of creating a cozy cabin feel but in a condo format. Also, the front view is breathtaking! The parking is free and right in front of the ground level entrance, which makes it easily accessible for people with mobility concerns.
