Escape to the serene high desert grasslands of Patagonia, AZ boasting breathtaking 360-degree views! Situated at 4,058 feet, we offer a refreshing respite from the heat of Tucson or Phoenix.

Nestled on 37 acres within BirdSong Retreat, the HummingBird casita is one of three guest houses inviting you to explore the untouched beauty of this remarkable area. Our aim is to provide you with an elevated vacation experience, offering luxurious and cozy accommodations designed with your well-being in focus.

Experience the tranquil silence, broken only by the distant howls of coyotes and the soft chirping of crickets. Lose yourself in the vast night sky, adorned with countless stars. Observe the swift movements of roadrunners as they dart across the landscape. Wake up to stunning sunrises and end your day with timeless sunsets. This place never ceases to amaze me.

We are only 6mls from Patagonia Lake and many great hiking spots.
10 mins to the eclectic town of Patagonia, the artsy town of Tubac for shopping or a quick drive or walk over to Mexico.
Take a tour of Sonoita and Elgin wineries and distillers.

Pets welcome with a one-time fee of $50 PER dog. Max 2 dogs.
Children under the age of 12 not allowed.

Amazing place

Stunning views, perfect for star gazing especially from the jacuzzi. ThisPlace has a well equipped small kitchen space, adorable fridge, an extremely comfortable bed. Place is quiet and I would recommend this place to anyone!

Had the whole place to ourselves. Robin is a fantastic host! And her dogs are great co-hosts. Watch out for the granola—it’s addictive!

Loved the stay

It was everything we hoped for when we booked it. The facilities were very nice. It had nice extra touches from the host. The instructions and check-in were great. It was very private and had a beautiful night sky. We hope to stay there again.

Retirement celebration trip

We had a wonderful time at the property and in the area. The property is amazing, with lots of space and privacy as well as fun entertainment like the most amazing hot tube ever! The views from Birdsong are spectacular! We had a hard time making ourselves leave the property but there are so many great things to do in the area that we did manage to get out and about. Love Birdsong and the area. We will be back and with friends!

Peaceful getaway

We loved the casita at birdsong. It was the perfect size for my husband and i along with our two dogs. The views were magnificent, especially in the spa which was our favorite part!

Meant to Be

It was exactly the place my dog Dottie and I needed to be this weekend. It was tranquil and relaxing. It felt homey and yet a departure. The massage I scheduled was great. The greeting basket for both my dog and I was wonderful. The communication with owner was great. I loved being here. I loved watching the birds and strolling the grounds. Its very close to besutiful state parks as well.

Short getaway

Very nice little place. Great that we could bring the dogs. And with no one out most of Saturday we were able to have the dogs swimming too! Unfortunately I got sick the afternoon of our second day and spent the rest of our time in bed. But it was a comfy bed!

Casita in the Desert

Can't say enough praise for this little gem of a place! The amenities were perfect for my husband and I, plus our pup. Close to Lake Patagonia for kayaking and a 25min drive from Sonoita wine country. Perfect weekend escape!

A Little Piece of Paradise

What a sweet spot near Patagonia Lake State Park. Our Casitas had everything we needed. Our superhost made us feel at home and offered helpful tips for exploring the area. We'll be back!

Quiet with beautiful views

My husband and I stayed in the Hummingbird Casita while birding in the area . Robin was very welcoming and gave good directions to the Casita. The unit is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and was super comfortable. It’s very private and quiet except when we could hear coyotes howling at night. We loved the coffee and granola that was provided. A lovely place in a lovely setting.

Just what we needed!

We were traveling to see parents and stopped by for just a night. We were looking for a place that we could relax and unwind this place was the perfect fit. We got the treat of a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Robin was an amazing host and the property was clean and comfortable. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. A+

Favorite rental ever

I’ve booked VRBO rentals for years for family vacations & getaways with my husband and the hummingbird casita was my favorite rental of all time. Robin was an amazing host - left us homemade brownies and lemon water, was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay over the app, while also giving us complete privacy. The casita itself is perfect - extremely clean and comfortable and impressively functional and well-laid out for the amount of space. The kitchen deserves recognition - I was pleasantly surprised at how well-stocked and organized that little kitchen was. I cooked 2 full meals and had everything I needed and more. But the BEST thing about this place is the location. Wow. The view, the climate, everything about this place made us never want to leave. Within hours of being there, my husband and I felt our bodies and souls relax and unwind. In fact, we spent a day looking at land in the area because in the end, this may be our forever home. Despite being so remote and away from the hustle and bustle, we had excellent cell service and wi-fi, with a large television to enjoy. The place also had very clean tap water and great water pressure and a wonderful bathroom & shower. We met Robin in person on the last day we were there and she is wonderful. HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for a place to relax, breathe and take in some gorgeous views of God’s creation.

Beautiful Location

We stayed in the Hummingbird Casita for our 10th anniversary weekend. It was clean, well-stocked, and the views were amazing! The cute kitchen was perfect for making coffee, breakfast, or a small meal (she even had an electric kettle—always appreciated as a tea drinker). We spent one afternoon just lounging on the swings and enjoying the view. It was great! Would definitely return.

Beautiful & restorative getaway

Quiet, cozy getaway

Casita was neatly furnished, had everything we needed in the kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. Property was quiet, many places to sit and enjoy the sunsets and birds. Very convenient to lake as well as nearby towns. Would definitely stay again.
