Very nice property, quiet and secluded but still close to Cave of the Mounds and Devil’s Lake. Great fire pit and outdoor areas to use. Inside has everything you need.

We stayed here for a book club vacation, all adults. The room configurations worked well. Be aware, the listing states there are stairs and the stairs are a steep, narrow spiral staircase from the first level to the lower level which is a little trickier to navigate than typical stairs. It was fine for us, but should be noted. We thought the kitchen was well stocked and in good condition. The garage was a bonus. We especially appreciated being close to so many fun things to do: hiking, canoeing, apple orchard, pizza. Would highly recommend Okee Bay House.

What a great house in an amazing location! So many amenities provided for an amazing time on the lake! The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Location is perfect! We got to wrap up our night listening to live music on the deck, but if you went inside you couldn't hear a thing, so it suits everyone! The house is vlean and beautiful! We highly recommend, as we were so sad to leave!

The house was a fabulous space for group of five friends who haven't seen each other in a couple decades. The house is beautiful and with two bedrooms and a bath on the main floor and two bedrooms and a bath on the lower floor, as well as multiple sitting areas, we had plenty of space. We loved sitting on the deck having coffee and catching up, and the four kayaks gave us a chance to explore the lake easily. It would have been perfect if we had been there during the week or a different time of year. However, I can only give it four stars because of the live music being played at the bar across the bay. Most of the bands (there were bands Friday evening and all day/evening Saturday) played music from the 70's or 80's and it wasn't too disruptive, but Saturday evening was a heavy metal band that forced us to move inside instead of sitting by the firepit because we couldn't hear each other well enough to talk outside. I hate to be a "the music is too loud" person, but it did disrupt our stay. However, I do think the house is perfect for someone who doesn't mind live music in the background or on days/times of the year where there are not live bands.

Okee Bay July 3-6

This was an amazing vacation.. the home was clean and close to beach and park.. there are local restaurants close by.. this property was right on the bay.. did some fishing, boating .. we had two little ones so we did not take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boat provided.. and it was way to hot for a fire but their firepit was in a very nice area..

Great place for families!

What a great place for families! It's perfectly centrally located between Wisconsin Dells and Madison. One day we went to Gibraltar Rock State Park in the morning, then to Baraboo to see the Ochsner Zoo and the Baraboo Children's Museum. Another day we went to Madison to take in the farmer's market and Henry Vilas Zoo. In between, we enjoyed walking right across the road to the beach, walking along a nearby trail, and walking across the bridge to two waterfront restaurants. The Merrimac Ferry is also five minutes away and worth the experience along with ice cream conveniently located before and after.As far as the house itself, it was fully stocked with everything we might need. It was impecabbly clean, and there was plenty of space for meals, games, kids to play, etc. The porch and easy access to the dock was nice as well.The hosts were very communicative and there were no issues at all with them or the property. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Generally, a very nice place to stay.

We were pretty happy with our stay at the Okee Bay house. Pretty centrally located between all the activities and sights we planned to see during our vacation. Considering the proximity to the only roadway through town, road noise was not an issue with doors and windows closed. Our daughter loved the public beach right across the road. The only minor issues we had are that some of the light switch locations didn't make sense to us. Part way through our stay, it seemed like the front door stopped auto-locking. And the final thing is that the bar across the bay was relatively noisy any time we were outside. Music could be heard from there at 6 in the morning, to a dog on their roof barking at everything, to loud patrons on their outdoor patio.

Beautiful Quiet Getaway

My girlfriends and I spent a lovely weekend at the Okee Bay House. This house is exactly as described. Plenty of room inside and out. Located right on the lake with gorgeous views from the deck. The hosts were very attentive and were great with communication. We could walk to dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the conservancy walking trails just down the street and the local Winery. Clean & comfy, it was the perfect place for our girl’s getaway. We hope to make this an annual excursion. 10 out of 10 stars. Thank you for the memories!

Great Lakeside Getaway

We had a relaxing stay at this great lake house. The house is exactly as advertised, especially the access to the lake which is right in the backyard. Everything in the house is up to date with all you need for a group stay. We also enjoyed walking over to the nearby lakeside restaurants which have great seafood and live music. We would definitely return to this house.
