This was a great value for the cost and overall I really enjoyed my stay.
Positives:
- the layout of the apartment was great. Spacious, open, welcoming, particularly at this price point. I really liked it as soon as I walked in.
- Location was convenient. I enjoyed exploring Hoboken, both walking/wandering and going for runs. About 0.25 miles from the waterfront so if you're a runner it's an incredible running path but even just for walking I really liked the location.
- the property manager was GREAT to work with. They had text message support and were able to quickly help me address some wifi connectivity problems. Was easy to work with them around check in and check out (although I would have LOVED a little more flexibility with a later checkout).
Negatives:
- There is some pretty basic disrepair that could probably all be fixed with a few hundred dollars and a day of time. Blinds were fractured, some closet doors were off the rails, and some crumbling drywall in the floor, towel rack not properly anchored. Nothing really troubling to me, seemed to mostly be aesthetic. Lot of little stuff though.
- There was some pedestrian noise in the evenings which I suspect is normal for the area, folks walking by on the street on the way to/from bars etc. chatting pretty loudly. Was on third floor, only really noticed in the bedroom. To be clear - the building itself and the residents were very quiet - I'm referring to street-level noise, folks outside the building going out for the evening.
Overall I had a really positive experience, and the negatives I mentioned seem relatively typical at the price point of the apartment. I would absolutely stay here again, it's a great budget-friendly option for a weekend trip.
