Our family met at this wonderful holiday home. Half our family from Auckland the other from Cambridge.We were so grateful at the location which was close to shops, short walk to the beach and a house full of everything you need for a family. This is a stress free stay in a family friendly, dog friendly home (fully fenced for our small dog, no gaps!). Positioned for sun with extensive decks and plenty of outdoor sitting/ dining options. Lovely new well equipped kitchen. Large screen TV, huge range of old favorite dvds, books and board games. Beautiful Matarangi Beach and Four Square close by. Cosy and warm for our winter break.

Possibly the best bach we have stayed in in the past few years. Perfectly setup and spotless.The only issue was the BBQ wasnt working but that may have been incorrect operation

Amazing beach bach

Had a wonderful time at Sean’s property. My family stayed over Christmas time and we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the ease of access to the beach. Would highly recommend this place for large family :)

Great family break away

Had a wonderful stay, was an amazing place to bring the kids, the bach was really well set up, especially for a family and we would diffinately come back, thank you for letting out your bach, was a great break away

Great place for a short relaxing holiday

We really enjoyed our stay. The fact that the property is fully fenced made it a lot more relaxing given we were travelling with a small anxious dog. The communication with the owner was very straightforward and friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

Great indoor and outdoor space to lounge around

Sean is a super host, fantastic to deal with and very accommodating. Nice touch to have provided coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine, and it's great that they allow pets to stay too!

I grew up in West Auckland in the beautiful rural spot of Waimauku, with nearby West Coast beaches of Muriwai Beach and Maori Bay the ocean has always been a draw card for me, with the family farm also uniquely surrounded by Kauri forest I have had an amazing upbringing close to both land and sea, and strong connection to the outdoors.

I fell in love with this property and the surrounding Matarangi area while staying there many years ago, it always had a great family bach vibe and I have tried to enhance that over the years that I have been privileged to look after the property.
I have traveled a lot internationally and every time I come home to NZ I feel extremely lucky to call NZ home - The Coromandel is one of many gems of NZ and Matarangi is a great base to explore the surrounding areas of New Chums, Kuaotunu, Opito Bay, Whitianga, Coromandel Town, Hahei, and many more unique little NZ spots.
Every time I walk in to the property I just take a breath out and the relaxing can start, I hope my guests get the same feeling.
