Thank you for your feedback and for staying at our Alpine Chalet. We’re pleased you enjoyed the spaciousness of the property and the beautiful views over the woodland reserve. We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments, as we work hard to maintain and continually improve the property. Most of the property has recently been repainted, features new bedding, and is furnished in a country-style design with quality solid wood and leather furnishings, which many guests appreciate. Following your review, we checked the appliances. The oven is operating correctly and the instruction manual is provided in the property for guest reference. The cordless vacuum is also fully functional when charged, and a plug-in vacuum and air fryer are available for guest convenience. Regarding the cedar hot tub, the optional daily usage fee is disclosed in the listing details prior to booking. This allows guests who do not wish to use the hot tub to benefit from a lower accommodation rate. The driveway is steep, as noted in the listing; however, roadside parking is also available for guests who prefer an alternative parking option. We appreciate all guest feedback and will continue investing in the property to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for future visitors.

I take a great deal of pride in presenting the property and creating a comfortable and enjoyable stay for guests, with ongoing updates and improvements including refreshed décor, regularly updated bedding and duvet covers, and downstairs areas repainted within the last couple of years. As this is an alpine home originally built in the 1990s with a frequently used wood fire, some ash and dust residue around the fire area and grill can naturally occur after use. The fire is cleaned regularly, however the grill itself is not fully detailed after every individual stay. We would also like to clarify that the post-booking reminder message referred to was sent 7 days prior to arrival and is intended as a reminder only, as the property information and details are already included within the listing description at the time of booking. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you otherwise enjoyed the property overall.

Thank you for your feedback, Patricia. We were disappointed by this review, as the concerns raised were not reported on arrival, but well into the stay, despite our clear instructions to contact us immediately so any issues can be resolved promptly. When notified about the TV, we arranged for someone to attend the property straight away. Unfortunately the Freeview box could not be replaced over the weekend, however the TV was still fully usable for streaming services via Wi-Fi, Netflix and Chromecast, and a new TV has now been purchased. The only photos provided after departure were of a full vacuum cleaner canister, the inside of a rubbish bin, and a small area near the entry where pine needles had blown in. The oven door not closing snug does not affect the ovens cooking ability, however new hinges have arrived ready to be installed. The listing photos also clearly show the steep driveway, staircase and two storey layout of the home so guests can determine suitability before booking, and there is also plenty of free street parking available.
