The place is large and spacious with a modern kitchen and facilities. The beds were comfortable and it was fabulous to sit outside and listen to the birds. This is a unique property which I would highly recommend.

Spacious home, with great kitchen and living area. Close to the town centre and a nice walk to the lake. Just one small improvement would be the inclusion of internet/wifi.

An oasis. Excellent beds, spacious shared areas, privacy gardening. We couldn’t figure out how to operate the stove top, did not staying long enough to ask for help. Wish we would have had more time here. Simply lovely.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this home in Te Anau. It was a wonderful home base for our fiordland explorations. The house is clean and the kitchen is particularly functional. The style is dated, but the beds and other furniture are comfortable. We appreciated having a washer and a dryer. Polly was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. You will want to know that as of March 2026 there is no wifi at this house. WiFi access was not advertised, but if you are like me you didn't even check. There is a library and there are many cafes nearby with wifi.
