Weekend getaway

Loved our stay. The bach is well laid out, modern, clean, comfortable, with great outdoor spaces. It had absolutely everything needed for a relaxing break. Additional touches like ground coffee, ice in the freezer, magazines, hairdryer. Close to the beach and store. Perfect for short and long stays.

Fantastic spot

Our stay here was one of our best summer holidays. A fantastic bach. Clean, well provisioned, a great lawn and patio and just 2 minutes walk to the beach. We really enjoyed staying here. Thanks.

Heave at New Chums Beach

What can I say about this property - it was simply amazing! The home is stunning decorated and exceptionally well appointed. Sun filters into every room from the many windows and glass doors. It is airy, sunny, beachy, and a perfect get away for anyone looking to go to the ‘new chums beach’ area.Our host was attentive and very quick to respond.The property had absolutely everything we needed or desired.The proximity to the beach was amazing (literally just feet to the beach) and so close to ‘New Chums Beach’, which was our sole purpose of being there - having experienced the area back in 2008 and wanting to always come back. To come back and stay in such an amazing property just made the adventure that more special.Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,Robert and Ted

It was an excellent get away, our stay was way too short. The place was neat and tidy. It is a beautiful place. The cleanliness caught my eyes. We tried to leave the place the way we found it. Wendy's communication was excellent 👌

Beautiful Home and Friendly Owner

We were looking for a quiet getaway but within distance of nice beaches and other homes. This home was perfect. Larger stores and other are available within 30 - 45 minutes from the house with a local, we equipped store available for necessities. Nice Neighbours. Clean home. Brilliant place!

Super enjoyed this place, great big outdoor area and loving the big doors opening out to the beautiful yard full of trees, banana trees even. Very private with plenty of room. Towels provided that's a first for me as I have always had to bring my own towels and extra toilet paper is also another thing that runs out, not at this place.

A very well appointed house, ideal holiday home.

One comment. The house was advertised as 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. ( Also did say in later blurb that one shower was outside. ) I wonder if it should say, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets & outside shower. Apart from that, lovely.

Magic - just magic

Whangapoua is beautifully located with a wonderful surf beach and an equally wonderful harbour beach which provides a choice depending on wind and wave preferences. The house is lovely both inside and out, including in the rain!

We had a fantastic stay over Christmas

The property was very well equipped and although we were eating in our families homes if we had to cook it was really well resourced. We realised that the mosquito nets were an important asset for those of us who tend to get bitten :) …. Thank you Wendy for creating a home form home

The Coromandel is beautiful wherever you are. I have many fond memories of camping days at Kennedy Bay and Opito Bay. Now I can reap the rewards of something in-between a bach at Whangapoua! Sharing this beautiful location with travelers alike who wants a taste of this Beautiful East Coastline of NZ. Bringing together the flavours and lifestyle to all, to lap up and enjoy whilst on holiday or a sneaky getaway weekend retreat.
With my previous experience flying with Air NZ I know how important it is to make travelling a wonderful and exciting experience in the Air and on the Ground! Whangapoua waves is the balance between air and sea and how life should be making comfort zones all around connecting our world as one.

Recommend walk to New Chums beach, Opera Point, Whangapoua Beach where else! The Lost Spring mineral pools in Whitianga, Lukes Kitchen in Kuaotunu - booking essential, 2 Hotels in Coromandel plus numerous lovely restaurants, Umu Cafe breakys at Coromandel, Fish n chips by the Four Square. The Dunes Restaurant Matarangi Golf Club, fish n chips takeaway at Pipers Cafe, A Four Square supermarket in Matarangi. Kufe or Stoked at Whitianga plus a selection of many more.
You have the privacy of your own bach surrounded by a beautiful safe area amongst holiday makers who truly want an experience and a holiday time to rest up and relax and enjoy! It's all here...with a bottle of wine, nice food and beautiful Company (plus the bird life for an added bonus).
