If it had wi-fi we'd give it a higher rating. We've made some suggestions for improvement to the owner, who was very receptive. She also went out of her way to provide us with a coffee plunger; quite gracious of her.

We are repeat visitors to this wonderful house in Omarama, and once again it did not disappoint. The property is always clean, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. It has everything we need and is very practical for the way we travel. We’re grateful for what it offers us each time we stay. Thank you once again for a lovely visit, we look forward to returning!

Great Kiwi house in the middle of town. Lovely garden. House had everything one could need (except WiFi, which was not a big problem). Loved having a cozy fire in the evening.

No issues - great stay!

This place was exactly what we wanted / needed after the long trip from America here. We used as a base to explore the Mt. Cook area and it worked perfect! Loved it and would stay again.

Spacious Home in a Great Location

The house was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounging area, and a nice backyard. Great location—quiet street, walking distance to the store, and off-street parking. Check-in was easy. One thing to note—the listing asks guests to clean before leaving, but there’s also a cleaning fee. Also a heads-up there’s no WiFi—we forgot to check, but it’s correctly left out of the listing. Overall, a comfortable stay, and we’d book here again.

Need a lot of cleaning!

We can smell dust, our blanket was itchy. No Exhaust fan when you cook so u need to open the windows. No wifi. Couches are not clean. We don’t like our stay :( sorry

Excellent Traditional Bach

We had a most enjoyable stay at 10 on Teal in late November 2024. This is a traditional bach that has been updated over time. Everything works OK, the location is great, we had an enjoyable time. The bach is well priced and good value for money. One suggestion ( not a complaint)- if there was a better hose and reel system we would have been able to water the gardens a bit more thoroughly than we did - couldn't quite reach everywhere. We did a couple of days of day rides an the Alps to Ocean ( Ohau to Twizel and Tekapo to Twizel using Cycle Journeys as our bike hire place and their van delivery to the start of each day. )

Wonderful Stay for Fly Fishing Enthusiasts

We had a fantastic time staying at this home in Omarama—it was the perfect spot for our party of three fly fishing enthusiasts. The house was spacious and well-equipped, offering plenty of room for us to relax and unwind after a day on the water. The kitchen was particularly impressive, fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare some great meals, but if we were feeling like a night off from cooking, it was just a short walk to the local pub where we enjoyed delicious meals. The outdoor garden and deck area were ideal for relaxing with a drink and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. After a day spent fishing, there was no better place to unwind and chat about the day’s catch. Overall, this homestay was a great base for our trip—comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly located. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped place to stay while exploring the area or enjoying some outdoor activities like fishing.

Perfect place to stay

Thankyou for letting us stay. It was so nice to have a warm cosy place as the weather was unexpectedly winery . All enjoyed the house and facilities , lovely and tidy . Near to good cafes . Would recommend it to any one wanting to stay and enoy this area.

Perfect overnighter

This was a great house for an overnight stay. Right in the centre of Omarama with a nice view of the mountains. Lounge was cosy with great log burner. Kitchen was well-equipped. Marie was quick to reply to any questions. Thanks for a good stay!

Great Location.

Great location for the A2O bike trail. Kitchen is well equipped, stove is excellent. Lounge is very comfortable and heatpump kept us warm. Beds and bedding very comfortable and the street is quiet. Bedrooms could do with black-out curtains or just curtains as street lighting shone through making bedroom very light. Very squeaky door through to bathroom/toilet was annoying through the night - people getting up to the loo (minor problem just needs some CRC). Bathroom is very small.

Does not seem up to today’s short term rentals.standards.

The house is well located, walking distance to restaurants etc. However it is weirdly divided, somewhat run down and too cluttered. No internet access and bathroom is old and not user friendly.

Comfortable place to stay while exploring omarama and surrounds

À cosy spot with two double bedrooms, an hour from tekapo and a couple of hours from Queenstown. We enooyed the nearby clay cliffs.
