I had a wonderful stay here and was very comfortable; had everything I needed. I was in Christchurch for a conference and it was wonderful to wake up to the sound of birds and a lovely garden outside. Thank you to Leah for being so lovely and welcoming. I had the best sleep ever! - the bed is super comfortable. Thank you for accommodating me.

Brilliant

Such a great place to stay for our 3 nights in Chch. The accommodation is absolutely lovely and very comfortable. It was great to meet Leah. She provides a real haven in a very quiet and beautiful garden. We enjoyed our cycle ride into town too.

Outstanding

Am reluctant to say how good this place is for fear of it becoming too popular and I can't get in next time I visit the city! no less than an ideal place to stay. But if I have one comment it is that it would have been helpful to have been told that location easily accessible by bus from the airport (free for seniors like me and my companion) rather than taking a circuitous and expensive taxi ride.

Great Place to Dtart

Nice neighborhood, very quite. This was the perfect property to start our 2 month NZ tour. Christchurch and Leah's home provided everything we needed to start the trip on a high point. The home is nicely appointed and comfortable. Perfect for my wife and I. We would happily stay in the home again if we are fortunate enough to return to Christchurch.

Perfect little oasis

Great little bach, perfect for a single person or a couple. Quiet, clean, private. Really well stocked with pots, pans, crockery, towels etc. Great to have a washing machine too. Comfy bed. Very helpful owner who is fast to reply to communication.

Really a little GEM / Wirklich ein kleines Juwel

I booked the beautiful garden house with veranda at Leah's to spend my first 4 days in NZ and Christchurch after the long journey from Germany. Deliberately a little out of the way, but only 100m from the nearest bus stop. The number 8 bus runs directly from the airport almost to your front door and also from the accommodation directly to the heart of Christchurch in 12 minutes. The accommodation is well equipped and extremely clean. Everything you need is there. But the best thing is the small covered terrace in the garden, shielded from the outside and completely quiet. I enjoyed my muesli and coffee here in the morning. In addition, the host, Leah, is incredibly friendly and accommodating and can also be reached directly for all eventualities and concerns of a guest. So I will also be with Leah on my next visit to Christchurch and will also send all my friends to her. Manor Place 7, the garden house is really recommended.

Cosy spot

Nice little oasis of calm in Christchurch. Staying at manor cottage due to it location near sister in law's Leah is an excellent host who even offered a brand new stand fan during the hottest part of Christchurch summer.

Very cozy!

We enjoyed 2 nights here after a month in a van. It was everything we wanted! Cozy and quiet, close enough to downtown if you like walking. We were very pleased with our stay here!

Good unit in quiet area

Very comfortable for a couple or single person. Undercover parking and public transport close by. Bus routes and timetables available in the unit.Small shopping centre also very handy. Quiet unit located at rear of property. Everything that you could possibly want is provided for you. We would be very happy to stay again.

Great unit

This property was perfect for us, situated within a good walk to malls 2.5km but getting on a bus was even closer if you don't fancy the walk.. Leah even had a slow cooker I could use. Everything is in unit that you need. Couldn't fault this place at all.

Perfect accommodation for our trip

We had a wonderful time here and it was perfect for our needs. Great communication prior to arrival, everything was seamless with our arrival and the house was top notch. So clean, clear instructions - just perfect. The location is brilliant - close to everything and just 10 mins from the City centre. This cottage is lovely, quiet and private. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

This IS Home away from Home

Manor Cottage and Leah absolutely raise the bar for VRBO. This home is brilliant and Leah is a welcoming, friendly, kind host. The linens and the bed is heavenly! The cottage is self-contained on a beautifully landscaped property, location was perfect for numerous amenities within walking distance, public transport so efficient, neighbourhood is safe and quite beautiful, parks nearby, rec centre, groceries, etc. I stayed at Manor Cottage for one month and this was my home and it felt like home. Leah was so kind and fun and welcoming, as well as respected my privacy. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you may need and that extra care and attention she put toward welcoming me to Christchurch, New Zealand is really quite unique and unforgettable. Let’s not forget the affordability! Wow! You don’t need to look further - this IS Home away from Home. I am a budget solo traveller and it was hard to leave my Manor Cottage Home. Enjoy!!
