My husband and I stayed at the home for a week in February. The house is modern, comfortable and has a well-equipped kitchen, laundry just off the kitchen, two nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds and bedding. If there was any negative about the house itself, it's that the lighting in the living room could be better for evening reading. Otherwise, we were very pleased. In fact, the cable TV even included NBA League Pass, which for basketball nuts like us, was a real plus!
The grounds are very nice. The yard is well-groomed and has an enormous grapefruit tree from which we were welcome to pick fruit. The pool and spa were great! The pool is large and easy to heat, and we probably spent almost as much time in the pool as in the house.
The location is very convenient--just a short drive or a reasonable walk to all the shops and restaurants of El Paseo. The house is also a 10-minute (if that) drive to the Living Desert. We enjoyed it there, but it you're traveling with children, it's a must-see.
The owner, Michael, and his agent, Diana, were very helpful when we had questions. One very small issue: Check with Diana before you arrive at the house to make sure that you have the correct code for the lock box to get the key. When we arrived, we couldn't get in because the code on our info sheet was wrong. Diana returned our call promptly and gave us the correct code, so it was fine. But it might be a good idea to check--and, if you plan to arrive after dark, bring a little flashlight!
