The location is just 2 blocks from Magnolia Farms/Silos(Silo District) and 5 blocks from the Baylor Campus and less than 1 mile from McLane Stadium. Backyard Tailgate Zone available. Video monitoring of the property is active at front and back doors only for the safety and security of the property and guests. Over all great stay. Place is close to a bar with live outside entertainment so was very noisy late at night at bedtime but overall night place to stay.

Cousins retreat 2024

We love staying in historic renovated homes. At first, we thought it woukd be a probleem with 8 women and 2 barherooms, but the arrangement of the bathrooms worked out. There were quality linens--bedding bath, pillows etc. We thought the location was very convenient as well. We'd stay there again!

Parent weekend

Had a wonderful weekend with family and friends for Parent weekend. Ordered BBQ from Viteks and had plenty of space for a post game dinner Thanks for sharing your home!

Baylor Graduation

Great location. Easy drive to the Baylor campus and easy walk to silos and Dr Pepper museum as well as variety of food places. Used only 3 of the four bedrooms (5 people) and house was more than adequate for all of us. New bathrooms, new kitchen, and remainder of house kept much of its historical charm. Charming front patio and we sat out there many mornings. Spacious backyard but we really didn’t utilize it during our stay.

Our family has deep roots in the Waco area. Mindy is a graduate of Baylor and two of our sons have recently graduate (2019 and 2021). Our 3rd son is a Freshman this fall (2022). I on the other hand am a Longhorn...enough said. Yes its tough in this house...

Old South 512 is located in “The Silo District.” Obviously the main attractions are Chip and Joanna’s Magnolia Market and of course Baylor University. There are a number of other shops to entertain your shopping pleasures. Fast food and sit down fine dining are both walking distance. The Baylor Campus is just 4 blocks away and McLane Stadium is also within walking distance or a short Uber/Lyft ride. The area is transitioning now that Magnolia has taken over! Thanks Chip and JoJo.
