We caught so many fish off the dock- you don't need a boat! Beautiful location. A great place to stay.

Great Stay

Very spacious place. Comfortably fit 9 people in the house. Neighbors were very nice and we were able to rent a boat from them. Would definitely stay again!

Lodge stay

The Lodge was a great place for our family gathering. There was plenty of room with the four bedrooms. It was very clean. We enjoyed the backyard. It was nice to be near the water.

Perfect family stay

Our daughter was getting married in the area. Perfect place to house our multi- generational group. Great outdoor gathering spaces and well equipped kitchen. Owner communication great!

Family weekend

Great cabin that fit our large family. Having two kitchens w more fridge space was awesome . We also loved having the separate large inclosed porch to be able to have evening adult time without disturbing kids sleeping. Pontoon rental from neighbor was great customer service for sure . Would def recommend .

Family summer vacation

The perfect place to hold our annual family vacation, as our family is growing in size each year! The hosts were quick to respond and even accommodated a special request to help us be as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend to other renters. Nice view of the lake and spacious house.

Simply wonderful!

This location/layout was absolutely ideal. We were looking for a place where we could set up a home away from home for a week, still work and see family and friends. My in-laws had their own bedroom/bathroom on the main floor and my husband and I had our own space upstairs-kitchen included! This place had everything you could think of! The lake, fire pit, deck, porch, big windows- sunsets- everything!

fun on the Lake

The group that stayed in the house was 6 adults and one 7-year-old. The house was very well supplied with in all areas. We ate at the house and had all the dishes, eating and cooking supplies we would ever need. The house matched the photos and descriptions you saw online. The hosts were very easy to work with and helpful. We enjoyed the lake swimming and renting a boat.along with a little fishing. We would stay again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a great time at the lodge on Rush Lake. The house is spacious and well cared for. There is plenty of room to spread out. It was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. This house was built by my great grandparents and was my dad's childhoom home. We spent most of the time looking at old photos and hearing stories about the property (which was a resort and farm that included the twin barns) and what the area was like back in the day. It's nice to see the property is restored and well cared for. I would gladly rent it again in the future.

Lake view, kids swimming and fishing

the owners are explicit on the property details online, parking is ample, kids pan fishing was excellent, the pontoon was very comfortable, the refrigerators were good for 6 adults and 4 kids, the lakeside lawn and beach were perfect for able kids and adult access. Great sunsets and west breeze off lake, lots of early AM fish activity around the dock, quiet at night, plenty of seating outside, grill, oven and stovetops work great. A/C works great, plenty of fans.

Stay at Rush City

The house is spacious and immaculate. Two kitchens (main and small one on 2nd floor), plenty of eating areas for large groups, comfortable beds, tons of towels, and hard flooring for easy cleanup. The two master bedrooms upstairs are very large, so there is plenty of room for cribs and/or blowup mattresses. Things that should be updated on listing: there isn't a hot tub, and the laundry facilities are not available for guest use. Also, the 5th walk-through bedroom has a pullout couch and curtain for privacy. This "bedroom" is located at base of main stairway, so it isn't quiet enough for little ones with early bedtimes.

Family Fun

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Enough space for all of us. Big yard for games. Host generously provided plenty of paper products, salt/pepper, oil, sugar, etc. in the cupboard. Only disappointment was the beach, which was really not swimmable. Went across the lake to find a decent beach. Description does note weeds but we didn't expect it to be so unappealing. Fortunately the weather was not too hot so we mostly enjoyed other activities on land. We enjoyed the fire ring and watching the sun set every night.

Nice lake property with a tradeoff

Very nicely updated house, perfect for large group- except for water holding tank. As noted in description, they request water conservation - which is extremely hard to do in large groups. Signs in the bathroom stating they do 2 min showers, and "If it's yellow, let it mellow." Understandable w/ holding tank, but not what you want to worry about on vacation. Lake ok; great pontoon boat, great living areas and nice beds. 2 kitchens a plus also! All in all we had a great stay here.

One of the best properties we have stayed in However

One of the best properties we have stayed in. Fair prices. Communication was however bare bones minimum. Make sure you closely read “other 58 amenities” and understand it. The information book at the time of our stay was unclear on an important up-charge. As heavy short term rental users (1st time VRBO) We have learned to expect more. Owner stated they would change the information book.
