"Spectacular Back Yard! With so many options for entertainment, 10 of us rarely left the property. We were either in the backyard, in the game room, or hot tub: grilling or relaxing on the deck, playing bocce or corn hole (the latter we brought with us), playing old-school video games, or playing pool. There was plenty of room for all of us, the beds were comfortable. I was initially concerned about the size of the kitchen, but it was roomier than the pictures implied & supplied everything we needed." -Lisa B, September 2023

The house is in good condition. It is very clean and many amenities are provided. The game room had a nice pool table which our family enjoyed. The hot tub was very clean and hot and all the jets worked fine. The spa is also enclosed in a room off the main house which was perfect given that it was very cold outside.

There were so many things a available to entertain us all from billiards, bocce ball and board games. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the large yard were we tossed the football around and created a relay obstacle course. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The location was close to the lake where we went kayaking and the village for shopping and dining. We will definitely be back!

Our family loves Narrow Escape and we try to book this location as much as possible when we're planning a trip to Big Bear. We recently traveled with our two adult children, their partners and our two grandchildren and there was plenty of space for all of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. There is ample room indoors, as well as outdoors. The backyard is incredible and you have all the amenities that you'd need. Location is close to downtown and the views of the lake are a huge bonus! The rental company was very responsive and check in was extremely easy. Highly recommend this location!

Eveyone gets a bathroom

This house was delightful to stay in. The back deck and lake views were amazing, should be even more delightful during spring and summer. Cleaning when we got in was thorough. But of course the best part is that evey room has its own bathroom, wow. We had an amazing time. Thank you.

We don’t travel out to the mountains much and it is just what we needed and better than pictured. It was very cozy, warm, and extremely spacious. The kids and entire family had a great time in the game room, backyard, and especially the hot tub. Huge perk with the hot tub being indoor yet having a view of all the snow outside. The beds were all very comfortable as well. You’re also able to see the lake from the backyard which I didn’t realize was so close. We’d love to come back and stay again. My son was already asking to return for his birthday with how much of a great time he had.

Great place and very roomy

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Big Bear House, and let me tell you, it was an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we felt like we were wrapped in a warm, fuzzy blanket of comfort. Comfort and Space The house was incredibly comfy and roomy. The plush couches invited us to sink in and unwind after our snowy adventures. Whether we were sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace or playing board games, there was ample space for everyone. The bedrooms were like cozy cocoons, ensuring restful nights for all. Snowy Magic Ah, the snow! It was like stepping into a fairytale. The pristine white landscape outside our window was straight out of a postcard. We built snowmen, had snowball fights, and even attempted (rather comically) to make snow angels. The Big Bear House truly came alive in the winter wonderland. Tranquil Streets The streets around the house were a serene escape. The hush of falling snowflakes and the distant laughter of other families created a peaceful ambiance. We strolled along the quiet lanes, our breath visible in the chilly air, feeling utterly content. Convenient Amenities Everything we needed was within reach. The local shops, restaurants, and markets were just a short drive away. Whether we craved a hearty meal or wanted to stock up on supplies, convenience was our faithful companion. In summary, the Big Bear House was our cozy haven amidst the snow-capped mountains. It’s where memories were made, laughter echoed.

Immaculate and well-stocked

This is one of the cleanest homes we've stayed in; it was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked, the jacuzzi worked well, was clean, and heated quickly. The game room, with a pool table and very well maintained accessories, as well as the arcade game table (over 100 games) was used every single day. Three bdrms were suites with their own bathroom, and the 4th had a full bath right outside the bdrm door. The location was wonderful, just a short 10 walk to the lake. And, I ran 6 to 9 miles daily, and the paved Alpine Pedal Path was just a 4.7 miles drive. The check-in process was a two-step process, which I would love changed to just receiving a code 30 minutes before check-in. However, this is only a slight annoyance in what was a marvelous home.
