House was beautiful, as far as being a airbnb not so much, upon arrival we had to the kitchen before unpacking. Counters were filthy, one trash bag for 8 days, left us Walmart bags for trash bags, pool was dirty definitely was not cleaned before we arrived, bed sheet had blood on it, master bathroom tub did not drain we showered and stood in our own dirty water, other bedrooms the carpet was badly stained, the grill was dirty the grease trap was full and stunk, there was urine under the chair in the second living room, I assume it was a prior renters pets, Ac was a nightmare we set it for 76 and woke up to it being set to 80, this Ac has the ability to be controlled by an app by someone outside of the house. I’m not saying that’s what happened but it is a possibility, the Ac just wasn’t very accurate. Master bedroom is very hot. We were required to start a load of laundry and the dishwasher before leaving, there was not any laundry soap or dishwashing detergent to do this. We were expected to use our own, no hand soap in any area. Pool furniture was very sketchy, there was a delivery at our door for almost our whole stay, the pool is saltwater which is not advertised, just not what we expected for a airbnb we have used Vrbo for many stays this has been our worst experience. Over all this location was very dirty, please be careful if you have pets or small children the canal behind the house has gators in it and they are not afraid of people or dogs wanted my puppy

So much potential/great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. I do want to mention a few small things that we ran into…As soon as we opened the front door, we could hear a smoke alarm beeping. Called Lorna. On Monday she came to change the batteries out but that didn’t solve the problem. Lorna said she was going to have them replaced and that Bill would come tomorrow to do that. Problem solved!! The house is supposed to sleep 6. Our reservation was for 4. Unfortunately there were only 4 plates, bowls etc. The cookware was questionable. I spoke with Lorna about this while she was there and she told me that she would see what she could do. On Tuesday when Bill came to change out the alarms, there were 2 big totes brought in full of dishes etc! I told Lorna that I would take care of putting everything away. There was even a nice crockpot and tea kettle. Perfect. Sadly, there were only 4 bath towels. Not sure how that would work with 6 people. More towels are needed. There is a gift bag with a small dish soap, dish cloth, small bottle of detergent. NO hand soap anywhere. Every other VRBO I have stayed in (30 had hand soap. (We are also previous owners of 2 rentals.) All the furniture on the patio should be replaced. The dining set is completely rusted with rust chips on the deck. All small issues to fix! We would have booked again for next year, but the price went up 150 per night. I guess this is a new rental property so there are growing pains. Perfect location/quiet. Lorna was great to work with!
