Awesome place to stay near Sugarbush

We did a quick ski weekend trip with friends and stayed at Matt’s place. Everything was perfect from the hot tub, sitting by the wood stove and comfy beds. Such a unique house - can’t wait to come back!

Cozy VT home

We stayed at The Roxbury over Thanksgiving week. The house is cozy and rustic yet very well-appointed and not lacking in modern amenities. It comfortably slept all our family and provided ample space and a great kitchen for our Thanksgiving dinner. We had a great time.

We just loved our time at the Roxbury. It is a very pretty yet comfortable house with all the amenities you could ask for. So quiet and peaceful. I recommend it 100%. Would love to go back some time.

Great house! Just what you think of when imaging a Vermont mountain vacation house.

The house was perfect for us - a group of three couples looking to get together for a long weekend. The house was very clean and had a great living room and kitchen. The owners were very helpful and prompt in answering our questions leading up to our trip. The house is nice and secluded, but just a short 20-minute ride to Sugarbush.

Didn’t want to leave!

Stayed here with a small group of friends for a short ski weekend at Sugarbush. The house was incredibly comfortable and the owners were very welcoming. The owners did have very specific care instructions for the house but everything was communicated clearly and was easy to follow. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds with lots of linens. The hot tub is a lifesaver after a long day on the slopes and the wood burning stove is divine. Staying here was an absolute treat!

Awesome Property!

We had a group of 12 family & friends stay at this place for a wedding just down the street at the Tennis Camp. There's really only enough beds for 8, but we made do. The owners are super helpful and very easy to work with. They left us plenty of towels and stuff for our group. The kitchen and bar are well-stocked. It was the perfect place to have a large gathering. Some of us hadn't seen each in years so we really wanted to have a place where we could all sit around, drink wine, and catch up! If that's what you're looking for, this is an awesome place to stray!

cozy ski chalet

We LOVED our stay in Roxbury! Matthew and Rachel are terrific hosts and everything was wonderful! From the amazingly comfortable beds to the plentiful towels for the hot tub. Everything was in working order and couldn't have been easier. We had PLENTY of space to spread out and we didn't feel confined! There were 3 full bedrooms in addition to the sleeping loft, which our kids loved. AND we could bring our dog, which was priceless. We loved the Xbox and work-out room! There were plentiful supplies for cooking! We were very close to Sugarbush as well as close to great restaurants. We will surely be back!

What a place!

This house did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in the door it felt like home. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the space, including the library, kitchen, grill, video games, workout space, wood stove and of course, the hot tub. Our kids, 10 & 7, loved everything about this home as well. We especially loved the privacy and beautiful views from every window. We were also taken by the town of Roxbury and the Roxbury Country Store. The detailed and easy to follow instructions provided were spot on. Many thanks to the Brace family for sharing this special property. We fell in love with VT all over again and hope to have the opportunity to rent this one of a kind place once again.

Cozy and comfortable

This was our second trip for a family vacation/ski trip and the Roxbury did not disappoint. We absolutely love the home. It is well equipped with plenty of seating for everyone in the open living room. Kitchen is pleasantly spacious with a very nice bar area/peninsula to allow for easy conversation with your guests. We cooked breakfast and dinner daily with ease. The hottub is fabulous!!! Especially after a day of skiing. We even took a snow day off and thoroughly enjoyed watching Netflix and enjoying the home. It really makes you feel like you're on vacation when you watch someone clear the snow from the driveway while you are hanging in the hottub. No shoveling here :) There are plenty of linens and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. Matt is such a pleasant and responsive host and I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Dirty and smelly

When we had looked at the pictures and the description of the rental property in Roxbury, we were very excited to add this experience to the list of USMC/Vietnam reunions. In the many years of staying at hotels and vacation rentals across the US, we have had the expectation that the unit will be at it's best condition and ready for a problem free stay. Unfortunately, that was not our experience in Roxbury. Upon entering the home, we immediately noticed a very bad musty smell that was in every room. We did leave the home for several hours and upon our return, the smell was still very strong. We got ready and went to bed. None of us slept. We got up at 11:30pm and found a hotel to stay in. Although the smell alone was a major deterrent to a comfortable stay, there are many other issues that made it impossible for anyone to stay in the home. The following issues are in addition to the odor problem: The entire home is dirty, and was obvious to all that is was not cleaned prior to our visit. The carpets were not vacuumed. The sheets on one of the guest beds was not clean. In the same bedroom, the closet had a one foot square of carpet that was cut out with rodent droppings on the wood sub-floor. The lighting in the master bathroom did not work and the lighting in the entire home is inadequate. In summary, we rented the home in good faith expecting a clean, comfortable and inviting None of these were apparent.

Lots of awesome and intriquit nuances

Great house, great location. We went to Vermont for a couples ski getaway and the location was great. The house was filled with great and fun nuances you could only appreciate while there. There’s something for everyone there, it featured it’s adult fun, the hot tub is well maintained and cared for, the entire property is. Everything was seamless, self explanatory and easy to figure out. The instructions were properly meticulous and we never felt lost or confused. Well worth the stay and hope to stay again soon!

Perfect A+ Ski House for Families

Very very cozy home and great layout for entertaining (open concept). Lots and lots of room for the kids to play. And just a short drive to skiing with an easy drive back (MRG). Loved the bar, perfect location in the main living area. The newer hot tub is an especially nice feature not found on many HomeAways at this rate. Woodstove kept us warm, and added to the already good vibe atmosphere. And the nice higher end sound system was a surprise. Owners were super accommodating and friendly. We will be back. All good! Great place for a ski weekend

My brother's family and my family enjoyed our stay for a ski weekend at Sugarbush on a stormy weekend. Plow came through early and often and the house stayed warm and electrified throughout.

Great time with the family on a holiday ski vacation!!

The house is great with very comfortable beds. It is well equipped and we felt at home with 8 people! Our kids skied and the parents got a rest. The hot tub was great and a bonus. The owners were excellent to deal with. We would love to go back again!!

We had a very nice time! The house is beautiful and we really didn’t have any complains.

The shower in the shared bathroom in hall never had hot water. It was Luke warm at best. However, this in no way ruined our time. We all just showered in master bathroom.
