Escape to this riverfront cabin on the Hiwassee River with year-round mountain views. Trout fish just steps from the back door, relax in the private 7-person hot tub, float the river using the provided tubes, and unwind by the riverside fire pit. This cabin offers the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and comfort for families, couples, and fishing enthusiasts.

• Weekly trout stocking less than ½ mile upstream
• Tubes provided to float the river from the property
• Riverside fire pit and picnic tables
• Private 7-person hot tub on the master bedroom porch

This is such a cute and cozy cabin! Very clean and well kept, stocked with all the cooking utensils you need. It sits on a quiet neighborhood street, that also has a pool. We didn’t use it because we visited in February. It’s spacious enough for 8 people, or a family of 4 plus 2 dogs! The location is perfectly situated far enough away from town so as to avoid the crowds and traffic but close enough to make a quick run to Ingles and Dollar General, or to grab a quick bite to eat. We loved being able to walk by the river and catch (and release) rainbow trout, relax in the hot tub, play games on the arcade, or just lounge around watching tv. Definitely somewhere we will visit again!Thank you for sharing your place Nikki!

Cool cozy spot

We’ve stayed at many cabins in Georgia and Carolina’s as family vacation. This cabin is in a great location with lots to do. Helen is about a 25 min drive through the curvy roads and lots of other things to do locally with a 15 min drive. Our favorite place to relax with our children was the sandbar. The cabin itself has a river we fished in and floated down (15 mins). We caught lots of little fish that are all catch and release. The property managers communication was spot on. The garbage cans were full with loose trash from the previous renters and the “community pool” was green. She responded quickly and the next day they came to take the trash out and the pool was “treated”. The pool cleaner left a note saying it was cleaned but when we went to go later that afternoon, it still wasn’t swimmable, speaking from a pool owner. None of which is a ding on the cabin itself. Overall, it served the purpose we needed it to serve! There are floats, baby items, dog cage (I wish I knew because we brought our own), fishing poles, and everything you need!

Great get away with fantastic location!

We’ve been to the area several times but this was our first time staying at this house and it was perfect! Neighbors were all very friendly, the kids enjoyed the river and the pool, perfect location to Helen and downtown Hiawasee. Highly recommend!

Leaves and Fish

We caught the peak color for leaf peeping and the river had plenty of fish. The cabin easily accommodated all 7 of us. We had everything we needed for birthday celebrations and Thanksgiving dinner. We will definitely plan to stay again

Son’s 50th Birthday Getaway

Cabin had plenty of room with good sleeping arrangements. The play room was a good feature with games and TV for the kids. We all enjoyed the river, fishing (even though we didn’t catch any rainbow), fire on the riverbank roasting hotdogs and making s’mores. Very nice view!

Great location by the river!

This was a family vacation for the 4th. House was spacious and in a great location to get to Hiawassi and the lake. We enjoyed watching the rabbits and groundhogs in the field in front of the house. The river had huge trout in it which thrilled my grandson and the pool behind the house was a definite plus with the small one. Communication with hostess was top notch and questions were quickly answered.

Exactly what we hoped for!

My husband had a tough year with cancer treatments that he completed in March. To celebrate he and I took or dog up to this cabin hoping for some relaxation and rejuvenation. It was just perfect! Everything was exactly as advertised. Beautiful river filled with trout, Mountain View’s, waterfalls hikes nearby, convenient to everything we needed, kitchen was very well supplied, and comfortable beds. We loved it, our dog loved it- we hope to be back in the fall! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Cabin on the River

We stayed at this beautiful cabin near the river for 1 week. 7 of us ranging from 7 to 70 years old. We all loved it so much and didn’t want to leave. Floating down the river was definitely a highlight. The house was clean and had everything we needed and more. Location to the lake was convenient. Nikki was very responsive, accommodating and understanding. Definitely a super host! We’d love to come again!

Great stay in a wonderful location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at this cabin in GA right on the river. Everything was clean and there was just enough to do activity wise but very comfortable to rest. The owner was attentive with any questions or needs that arose. Our kids loved floating the river and roasting s’mores in the fire pit. It was great! We plan to come back in the future. ❤️

Cabin by the river

We had a great stay! The cabin was clean and roomy. We loved being by the river and seeing deer across the water. We took advantage of the fireplace every night. The location was great because it wasn’t too far from the dollar or grocery stores. There was an issue with the heat working properly one night but Nicki was quick to respond and very accommodating, wanting to make sure it didn’t hinder our stay. My only wish is that we could stay longer.

Relaxing

River relaxation

My family enjoyed our stay, especially the children. Helen is close by and filled with fun activities. The children played in the cool, clean river water, and the adults enjoyed relaxing in the shade near the riverbank.

Great little cabin by the river

Really enjoyed our time here. Owners are super responsive if you need anything. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We appreciated having plenty of linens, pillows and towels for everyone. We loved the large back yard for the kids to run while the grown ups relax by the fire. Tip: a wagon might be useful if you're hauling wood to the fire pit or gear for playing/fishing in the river. Great little cabin!

Awesome Location

This was an awesome comfy home! Pictures don’t do it justice! We enjoyed every inch of the property except for 2 seater Jacuzzi (too cold). The views are amazing for sunrise and coffee! Everything you need kitchen wise was excellent for our family of 11. Space for everyone! We had amazing Christmas at this home! Owner was easy to get over email. We will be coming back in the future! River was low but nice to sit out by the fire and roast marshmallows.

Great family rental

Our family and kids had a blast in your house, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to great hiking spots and close for a quick trip to Helen. The dogs loved the big back yard and they even jumped in the river, we will definitely be back in the summer!!

Fantastic Family vacation in Hiawassee, GA

Our family vacation include 4 generations, including Great Grandma Sue at age 82, plus 3 teenagers and one child age 3 years old. The home in Hiawassee was beautiful and well set up for families, with everything we needed including river tubes onsite. The property backed up to the river and we enjoyed tubing everyday! The pool was located across from the house and was so warm and clean and great to relax in. Hiawassee is a beautiful area with a great beach and playground located on Lake Chatuge. The Georgia Mountain Festival was incredible. I would highly recommend this home for a family vacation and we would like to return to stay at this beautiful home!

Our yearly Memorial weekend trip to Hiawassee

This cabin was in such a nice location! And the creek/river behind it was pretty and relaxing to watch.. the weather turned really cool so no tubing for us! But there was plenty of room outdoors for the grandkids to have a blast running around!! We enjoyed our trip and appreciate our stay at the owners mountain home! She was wonderful to work with when arranging our trip and when checking in!
