House is in a great location, has plenty of beds, and the layout allowed the group to hang out in living room or on porch.The only negative is the immediate smell of what is maybe mildew? Smelled like an old house that doesn’t vent well and has water problems.

It was clean and had everything you need for a big group! Kitchen had everything you needed for cooking or staying in. Bathrooms had plenty towels/items you may need. Mildew scent in the bottom floor otherwise it was not bad in the rest of the house. Laundry ability was nice to have. It was nice not to be in top of neighbors and semi secluded. Close to bellaire and alden which were great to spend time! We will be back!

There were plenty of places for our large group to sleep, but the extreme mothball smell, coupled with a musty, mildew smell, made the lower level bedrooms barely tolerable. The smell dissipated somewhat on the upper two floors, but there was no escaping the odor. Those with respiratory issues such as allergies and asthma might want to steer clear. In addition, the lighting is poor, making this a dark, malodorous house. There were only two chairs on the balcony, so we cleaned some filthy chairs we found by the fire pit so we had someplace to sit outside to get fresh air. The kitchen was well stocked, with the exception of an absence of filters for the coffee pot. While the kitchen faucet did function, it was terribly wobbly, making it hard to use. Our group did appreciate the abundance of towels (but they never dried due to the dampness in the house). The showers had great water pressure and nice shower heads, but the temperature tended to fluctuate. There were a lot of DVD’s available, but the DVD player had no power cord and no cable to connect it to the TV, rendering them useless. One of the amenities listed was central A/C- this is untrue. There were window air conditioner units, but when we turned them on, they spewed foul-smelling air into the room, so we didn’t use them. This is definitely a house we will not book again.

We had a great time at this property. It had all the things we needed (nice linens and towels, fully equipped kitchen, etc.). Close to Bellaire with several great restaurants and bars, less than 20 minutes to Torch Lake with room to park our truck and pontoon trailer and two more cars. The house is, however, very dark and extremely musty smelling. A dehumidifier and better air flow would help a lot. We slept in a lower level bedroom where the windows did not open.Tabitha was great to work with and very responsive. The house was clean and served our purposes for an awesome 3 days boating the lower chain of lakes. Thanks for helping us make wonderful memories with our best friends!

Great spot

It was a great spot to escape into the woods with no neighbors and spend the days on torch lake! Very built for skiing but held up great for the summer as well!
