We had two nights in Kenso Cottage. It is a clean, well appointed residence just steps from the centre of town. Check-in instructions were clear, and it had great under-cover off-street parking. The cottage was spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our trip. The backyard had a gorgeous shady tree that was terrific for a late afternoon drink on the two hot days we visited. Inside was air conditioned - if you needed it. We could walk everywhere and only needed our car to visit the vineyards out of town. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Kenso Cottage 28 for 4 nights and it was wonderful! The cottage was spotlessly clean, very spacious and very well equipped. Location was perfect, and we were able to walk to everything in town. Jason and Wendy were wonderful hosts with great communication and helpful assistance. We loved Mudgee with all the great produce, cafes, pubs, shops, wineries and walks, and will definitely return to stay at Kenso Cottage.

Lovely cottage

Kenso Cottage is in a great location within walking distance to all the conveniences Mudgee has to offer. We had everything we needed towels, linen, toiletries and a well equipped kitchen. The beds were warm and comfortable with good heating available with the aircon and extra heaters. The backyard is huge however the fence was not secured in places so I couldn’t leave my pug outside on her own.In saying that I would definitely come back we had a lovely stay!

We’re proud locals who have lived in the beautiful Mudgee region for most of our lives.

We purchased the property in 1991 and at that stage The Property was over 130 years old, since then it has had a major renovation and restoration including brand-new kitchens and bathrooms installed.

Our roots run deep in this community, and we’re passionate about sharing all the charm and warmth that Mudgee has to offer.

We’ve created Kenso Cottage as a welcoming and comfortable space for guests to relax and enjoy everything we love about our hometown—from its award-winning wineries and stunning landscapes to its friendly country hospitality.
