A great base for the outdoors. You are close to great mountain bike and walking tracks, rock climbing and skiing in the winter. This is a warm and cosy house in the winter and has a BBQ and outdoor seating to enjoy some sun in the summer.

Alex was very helpful and replied to my queries very promptly. The Bach was clean and comfortable and very well equipped. It was a perfect location for exploring the tracks and trails in the Craigieburn and Arthur's Pass regions.

Great views of the mountains from the living room! Easy access to Arthur's Pass and surrounding trails. Comfortable accommodations with everything you need.

Excellent stay

Perfect weekend in Castle Hill village, modern house with beautiful view, just sit in the couche and watch the sunlight on the mountains

Lounge was relaxing, fire was lovely. Pillows and sheets were not sanitised between guests but they were washed. Unfortunately, the duvet and sheets upstairs smelled like vomit. The sinks and bathrooms hadn't been cleaned properly and smelled a little sicky, obviously the guests who stayed before us had a virus. We developed noro virus 2 days after staying at the property, due to it not being bleached properly. But, the host was a very nice person so who knows if they were told. They may not have picked up on the sick smell like I did. I wouldn't stay here for several months until the noro has become inactive. House is well worth staying in but ensure cleanliness from host before entering. There was toothpaste on the mirrors and taps so I felt like I was cleaning up after others and couldn't relax. There was dirty laundry in the washing machine and a bucketfull of dryer fluff in the laundy and downstairs was very dusty. I have been told the dryer will be replaced. We received a message a couple of hours before giving entry instructions but also advising us that we had to clean the house. This should have been stated on the main listing. I advised the owner that the upstairs duvet inner that smelled like vomit needs to be replaced and that we got sick but received no reply. Also advised old yellow pillows need to be replaced.
