We took the loss and did not stay
They did a really great job with photos for their listing. I highly suggest doing a google map search of the immediate area as we did not feel safe staying here so much so that we just took the loss on our booking and made other last minute arrangements. I understand that the owner cannot control what goes on at the surround properties but they did very intentionally take their photos so that you don’t see any of the dilapidated homes, busted out windows and abandoned vehicles at the homes immediately next door. We did not feel safe even in just leaving our vehicle parked outside here, much less leaving ourselves vulnerable and sleeping here. On top of all of that the inside of the home had an unbearable smell and was not clean. Even despite providing photos we did not receive really receive any help in resolving our issues. All of this was made worse by the fact that it was the day before thanksgiving so making other arrangements so last minutes was nearly impossible and very costly. But again, that’s how unwilling we were to stay here upon arrival. Again, I would just suggest doing thorough research before booking and know that the listing photos are a bit deceiving.
