The condo was dirty and full of cockroaches which we did not know till 8:30 the night we checked in as we were outside enjoying the sunset. Much to our shock when we came inside and turned on the light, the cockroaches were everywhere scurrying about. The property manager texted back to explain that it “was normal for the tropics”. We had stayed in the tropics many times and knew this was not normal and completely unsanitary and disgusting. We found them everywhere including in the kitchen drawers with cockroach feces and it smelled. The kitchen had not been cleaned inside any drawers or cabinets where the cockroaches were living. When we first checked in we noticed the bathroom and fridge were just dirty and not cleaned for some time. The resort itself has been run down and abandoned with many buildings decrepit with caution tape and looking like it belongs in a futuristic end of the world location. Apparently the developers had stopped the project decades ago and now some of the units are being rented amongst the other dilapidated buildings and units. We left within 30 minutes upon finding the cockroaches and the company did credit us back as we did not stay. We would not recommend this place for cleanliness or being infested with cockroaches however the sunset was beautiful.

Amazing 2 Nights on the West side of Molokai

I was so pleased with this stay! Dorothy could not have been more accommodating and kind with response to my frequent questions. this was my boyfriend's and my 2nd time to Molokai, but the first time on the West end of the island. It was amazing!! Beautiful beaches, one was basically just us for 2 hours near the end of the day. The surf and waves were strong but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves just chasing the waves. We were fortunate enough to see a picture-perfect sunset the very first night. There were clouds right at the horizon line, but the weather was perfect :) We are definitely talking about coming back to this side with family. I wish there were restaurants on this side of the island.. but not an issue with the resort or condo. The only thing I can think to say that is not 100% positive, is my let down that there was no hot tub. The photos for the resort and my search filter had hot tub as one amenity I was seeking. There was no hot tub on this resort's property. The size of the unit, location, decor and supplies offered were the best and left us with no complaints!! Mahalo Dorothy, will be in touch!!

Sweet little condo with all you could need! Clean, and comfy! The grounds are beautifully kept and the view and pool are unmatched! We chatted with so many welcoming islanders and made friends with all the unexpected wildlife! Thank you Dorothy for a great stay!

Molokai Visit

Loved our first stay on Molokai, totally different than all the other islands. The unit was great, the view is amazing, hear the waves crashing. Pool area was nice also, very quiet and the bbq areas worked well. Unfortunate for the remaining buildings of the old resort, hopefully some day they will get those torn down or rebuilt.

Paradise

We fell in I love with Molokai although it wouldn’t be for everyone. The condo was perfect for us. Very well appointed and had everything you could need. Extremely comfortable and so well situated to hear the pounding surf and magnificent sunsets from the lanai. Mick and Dorothy were perfect hosts. They happen to be on property and we had a bit of trouble figuring out some things and they came right over and were very helpful. If what you are looking for is quiet, undeveloped natural settings and a funky town in a laid back atmosphere Molokai is it! The condo was perfection ,well situated and user friendly. Already looking forward to our return. Mick and Dorothy are fabulous hosts. Mahalo and Aloha Danit and Rodger.

location, location, location

This is a wonderful condo. The view from the lanai is spectacular. It is a few steps from an uncrowded beach and a few steps from a delightful pool. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is spacious. Who could ask for more! It is a 5+. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to stay here.

Awesome property with amazing views!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience in Dorothy’s condo! Great location on the west side of the island. The most beautiful views of the beach, ocean and sunsets. 30 yard walk to the beach. Condo is very well stocked with all of the essentials. Great comms with Dorothy. This will be our go-to condo on our return visits.

Best kept secret ever

We are hooked and coming back!!! Best location ever on Molokai. Steps to the sand and steps to the pool that’s overlooking the ocean. Most of the time we were the only ones there. Dream vacation! Most dreamy spot ever. We could lay in bed watching the waves in the ocean. The place is stoked with everything we needed, the boogie boards and cooler were much appreciated too. We spent majority of our time on the outside lanai playing cards and enjoying all of our meals. The stars at night were incredible. The big shower was great with strong water pressure and lots of hot water. Having the BBQ grills was such a nice touch as well. All of the grounds keepers and security guards were very welcoming and friendly, we felt so safe here. Dorthoty was so simple to communicate with and gave us many great suggestions before leaving on our flight. We never even spoke once during our stay cause the welcome letter told us all we needed to know and everything was so smooth. We are so grateful for the amazing place and can’t wait to come back. Mahalo!!!

Kepuhi Beach Perfection

I have stayed in numerous units at Kepuhi Beach, and I can't wait to return to this one, my favorite of them all. First, the view is unbeatable with an unabstructed view of the beach and ocean. Private, clean, uncluttered, well stocked, a comfortable bed, great island decor..I lacked for nothing. This unit is managed by attentive owners and the communication was excellent. Being close to the pool and to the parking was convenient. Molokai West End at its finest.

Needs updating

Poorly maintained, DW doesn’t clean or dry, screens, floors everything has a film on it, due to needing all windows open to cool the place. Very musty smell lucky we don’t have allergies!! Curtains should be short enough to NOT cover bottom vents when closed or stiflingly hot. Fans were not cleaned either so blowing MORE dirt around!! Bit disappointed. Beach VIEW was nice.

Amazing location

Great view of the beach from the lanai and bedroom! I mean the best! Very short walk to the beach and the pool. Also close to parking. Quiet end unit. Having the screen on the main door is great for being able to leave the doors all open and let the trade winds breeze through. All the beach necessities are available and the kitchen has all the essentials. 4 stars for cleanliness.

Filthy, Unkempt and Dilapidated Do NOT Stay Here

The natural geographic area is beautiful with quiet pristine beaches. The greater property and condo are a disaster. The property is run down to the point where more than half the buildings are abandoned and falling down. The actual condo is filthy. Not just Hawaiian red dirt everywhere, but food on dishes and pans, furniture worn and filthy, lift any cushion to find bugs and food. The place is falling apart, doors come off tracks, screens rusted out, and appears to not have been painted or deep cleaned ever. Hawaiian tradition says take your shoes off, but your feet will quickly be black from the dirty floors. I have never seen a place this run down and unkempt. The towels, pans, cookware and decor is packed in and looks to have been collected from various garage sales. Nothing matches and all is worn out, thrown together and literally thrown in drawers and on shelves. They also do not warn you that one must shop on the way there for food as the grocery stores close early and are not open 7 days nor are restaurants. There are next to no amenities on this end of the island. Also do not stray off the coast for hiking (to the trails listed on Alltrails) as you may get shot, the areas above the beach are private and there is active hunting. We heard so much constant gun fire even being on the beach/rocks below made us nervous. The island is quiet and naturally beautiful this particular condo and development are dilapidated, unkempt and filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Stay in Paradise

Beautiful and comfortable unit. Owner was readily available for questions. The view from the lanai was great and the sunsets incredible. Everything in the unit was as expected, with some extras that were a surprise and very welcome. The decor is nice, bed comfortable and bathroom and kitchen have been updated. The only issue we encountered was the cleanliness of the place, it was superficially cleaned and we even found a moldy mug. Kepuhi beach is a paradise, but I am reviewing only the unit.

Incredible location

The pictures of the location are spot on. We absolutely loved the trade winds throughout the unit, meals on the lanai, the incredible sunsets from the lanai, the pool, the birds, the beachfront property, etc.! The view from the bedroom is really incredible. The unit is stocked so nicely, that we were able to create many meals in the full-size kitchen. The host, Dorothy, provides excellent communication and suggestions for your time on Molokai.

We had a great time at Dorothy’s condo overlooking the deep blue ocean. The resort is on a beautiful beach and stocked with everything you need for a day at the beach. We loved our time there and would like to return.

Great getaway

My wife and I honeymooned at the condo 10 years ago, and came back to celebrate our anniversary. The condo us great. Close to the beach and pool. Great view. And Kepuhi beach is so empty compared to Oahu beaches. It is a great getaway.

Best location in Kepuhi Beach

We loved our stay here! The pictures do not do it justice, this is the best unit in the whole complex, best beach view and close to beach and swimming pool. The kitchen and the bathroom are new and everything works wonderfully. We loved Molokai and staying here. Mahalo!

Tremendous Accommodations and Views

The accommodations greatly exceeded our expectations. The condo was clean, well furnished and equipped. The description on VRBO perfectly described the condo and the beautiful views. The price was right on the mark. The property manager was extraordinarily helpful to include supporting our late checkout at no additional charge. We definitely plan to stay again. Mahalo!

Paradise

We had a wonderful stay in paradise! The view from the lanai, living area and the bedroom/bed was awesome. We could see the sand and surf and hear the waves. Sunset was always beautiful and a highpoint of the day. The condo had everything we needed and then some. Lots of cooking equipment and even some spices, sugar and refrigerator condiments were really nice to find. Be sure to buy groceries in town as the on-site store is even more expensive, but it is good in a pinch and is open every day until 5 pm. The two beach chairs were very nice. There was also a beach mat, snorkel set and sand toys. The pool was always clean and there were never more than a couple people there. The chairs and chaise lounges were comfortable and plentiful.
