This house was spotless and had fantastic amenities - all you could need for a home away from home. Great location to venture further afield in Cornwall or explore the local area. We would recommend a stay here and will definitely book again if we are in the area.

オーナーのプロフィール画像
Dominic is proud to be Cornish born and raised, and Rachael was born in canada but brought up in Newquay and St Columb area and we have a real love for this beautiful part of the world. While we now split our time between the UK and Canada, Cornwall will always feel like home.

We genuinely enjoy sharing our property with guests and helping them make the most of their stay. Whether it’s recommending hidden gems, great places to eat, or must-see attractions, we’re always happy to answer questions and offer local insight to help you experience Cornwall like a local.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose this location because it offers the perfect balance of convenience and tranquillity. It’s wonderfully central for exploring Cornwall, yet remains a peaceful and relaxed place to stay.

Everything you need is right on your doorstep, including local pubs, a Co-op, butcher’s, and a great selection of takeaways such as fish and chips, Chinese, kebabs, and traditional Cornish pasties. You’ll also find a coffee shop, antique and hardware stores, dog groomers, a pharmacy, a tattoo parlour, and more—all within easy reach.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What makes Captain Jack’s Retreat truly unique is its setting in a historic market town dating back to 1366, offering a sense of charm and character you won’t find in more modern locations.

The property itself stands out with two private roof terraces, providing uninterrupted views across the Cornish countryside—perfect for relaxing, dining, or enjoying the sunset. Tucked away in a peaceful spot, it feels like a hidden gem that many wouldn’t even know exists.

We’ve invested a great deal of care and attention into every detail, creating a space where guests can fully unwind in comfort or use it as a base to explore the surrounding coastline and attractions. Since opening, guests have consistently loved the balance of seclusion, views, and location.
