Great mountain escape

This is a quaint house on a quiet street that is perfect for a mountain getaway. Firepit was a good perk. The best part is you feel remote because it is so quiet, but you are only like a 4 minute drive into downtown Highlands. It was clean inside. Had no issues. Check-in and out was a breeze.

The home was very cozy and conveniently located near downtown Highlands, which made it easy to enjoy the area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the location and comfort of the property.A few things could be improved for future guests. We arrived with very limited toilet paper, the bathmats did not appear clean, and the grill had not been cleaned prior to our stay. I also reached out to the homeowner twice via text prior to our visit but unfortunately never received a response.With a little more attention to cleanliness and communication, this could be an even better experience.

From the owner: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to share that we have coordinated closely with our property management team to ensure our standard supply levels. The white bath mat you are referring to was washed with a dark blue bedding item, so it was not dirty but stained. It has since been bleached and restored. While we do have a grill on the property, it is not an amenity listed or available for guest use due to maintenance and refueling logistics. The house manager stated that she did not receive any communications during your stay, so we are not certain what happened. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We hope your stay at our home was still wonderful!

Cozy house in the trees!

Our family of 4 had the best stay in this historic cabin. My parents joined for a couple of nights, and we were very comfortable. Dinner outside on the deck under the trees, walks around the neighborhood, movies with the kids, coffee on the upstairs porch enjoying cool mornings overlooking the lake at the bottom of the hill. It was very relaxing, close to town, and easy to navigate. We will be back!
