This was a very nice house. Two mornings in a row we could hear the elk bugling. The accomodations were excellent. We visited the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park while we were there .

Great location for SXS riding.

Beautiful home and plenty space for 4 couples. We loved hanging out on the deck at nights watching sunset with beautiful view.

Amazing escape!!!

This day was beyond all of my expectations. Traveling for the past two weeks we were in need of some rest and relaxation. Wind River chalet could not have been more perfect.On arrival we were thrilled to see that our host provided us with cookies, including a gluten-free option!The house itself was amazing. From high-end appliances to thoughtful decorative touches, it truly had everything. The upstairs allowed the kids to have their own rooms and relaxation area. The downstairs was large enough to host the whole family for meals, game and movie nights. The kitchen was well stocked and made it easy to cook a variety of fantastic meals.Outside, we enjoyed sitting on the deck and admiring the amazing view plus diversity of wildlife. The pond was beautiful, and the mountains in the distance were serene. We hiked down to the river and enjoyed the local scenery. We drove to downtown Dubois and enjoyed exploring the creative shops. Communication was fantastic with our hosts who were helpful, friendly and quick to respond.Overall, there are not enough great things that we could say about this space. It was a wonderful stay.

Summer of Fun ‘25

We stayed 10 nights. We had a great time from just sitting on the porch and watching the wild life to enjoying the town offerings. The house was big enough for our party of 10 and we didn’t feel crowded at all. We could all spread out and do different things. It is a bit of a drive to the national parks but we had no issue with the distance/time and went most days of our trip. For us the cost vs quality of this home far exceeds the distance from the parks. Also, there are tons of things to see and hikes to do in the area, all you need to do is ask a local and they will happily point you in the right direction. If we travel to the area again I would look for this property first and pray it was available because we loved it and the wonderful town of Dubois!

Gorgeous property

This property has a wonderful view. The weather was a little chilly so we didn’t get to enjoy the backyard with the pond! I have never been to Dubois before. We went there to the military museum. Now that is definitely something to see. We have already recommended other family and friends to check it out and to try and book this property! Had an AMAZING time!

Wind River Chalet

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was in a very quiet location and the owner was very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire booking process and our stay. The surrounding views are great and Dubois is less than 10 minutes away. The upstairs shower is tricky to access with an elevated entry and has low water pressure, but other than that, we had no issues with the property.

Wonderful Chalet

We brought 11 people to this property and had such a wonderful time. Dubois is a great little place in WY and close enough to Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks that we went to both of them...but grateful to return to such a beautiful place to enjoy the evening. It was quiet and peaceful and there were plenty of rooms for everyone to stretch out and have time alone and then get together for some food at mealtime. I would recommend this property to anyone. Great amenities, convenient and exactly what we saw in the advertisement! We'll go again!

Great views

Great stay. Only problems with the washer, fabric softener ran down the front of washer. To make it more inviting perhaps the fake flower pots could be taken down hanging and sitting on the porch.

Our Stay in the Chalet

Our stay included my wife, her sister and brother-in-law, all over 70 years of age but in very good health. The stay was generally satisfactory. However, the presence of wildlife on the property was way overstated in the property description. In two weeks, the only wildlife that we saw was one doe and her fawns. The other major issue with the house was the bathrooms. The master bathroom had high tech shower controls that only retired engineer brother-in-law could figure out. The bathroom on the second floor had a very high sided tub and glass doors with no support. Very inaccessible for people our age even though we are in very good health. Had to use the make shift shower in the laundry room where the water was only slightly lukewarm. Two weeks of cold showers was not very appealing. Though not a big deal, the front door latch always caught when attempting to open, just annoying. Though advertised as non-smoking, we found numerous cigarette butts outside and some of the bedrooms smelled of excessive air freshener, perhaps to cover the smell. Was difficult to get adequate ventilation to dissipate the smell because of the nearby forest fire and associated smoke. Front deck was great. View from the house was great. Communication with the host was very good.

Family Get Away

We were able to use this to meet up with my sister and her family and it was a good setup for what we wanted to do and it's location was great for the outings we made in the days we stayed. It was a great vacation spot for our group and we really enjoyed the views from the cabin and would highly recommend this cabin for groups our size (we had 9 total).

Family retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. This was first time that the whole family was able to be together for a vacation. Amazing views right from the front porch! The house was the perfect base for day trips into Yellowstone, Tetons and Jackson Hole. The upstairs family room was perfect for the kids to enjoy movies and playtime. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out and be comfortable. The grounds provided incredible views and lifelong memories! Don't miss the Friday night rodeo in Dubois!
