The Lake House - Lake Tekapo

Perfectly positioned on an iconic site beside the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Collie Dog statue, the property is just across the road from the Lake Tekapo foreshore.

Enjoy breathtaking views in this stunning setting, just a five-minute walk from the village and shopping centre.

There is 1 king bedroom plus 1 twin bedroom (2 single beds); 1 newly renovated bathroom with shower and toilet; spacious lounge and gorgeous sun room with unobstructed views to the lake. A fully equipped kitchen means you can prepare all meals from the cottage should you wish to. Please note this does not mean that food/drink is provided.

Minutes walk from the heart of Lake Tekapo. As far as the lake itself is concerned, you can not get any closer! It’s right at your doorstep.

Late check out fee is applied for late checkout past 11am ($40) as we lose our slot with cleaners.

If you enjoy cold water plunging, walk off the lawn and down to the freezing Lake Tekapo glacial water.
1) Please note that Tekapo is a Dark Sky Reserve. As such, there are no street lights and the entire town is very dark after sunset which allows for some of the best stargazing in the world. If you are checking in at night, you must be prepared to navigate the darkness, which might make finding the property difficult. We recommend checking in before sunset. It is not the fault of the property owner if guests encounter issues due to a late check in after dark. Council laws prevent us from providing more than soft glow solar lamps.

2) Please note instant coffee, tea and sugar are provided. Milk and other pantry items are not provided.

3) To ensure adequate hot water, showers need to be limited to 7 minutes (if 4 guests are showering).
