Staying at the Travelling Bishop was a highlight of my year. It was cosy, romantic and calming all at once. There has been a lot of care and attention to detail put into preserving the atmospheric charm of this church. It was easily the most comfortable sleep I have had away from home in a long time. Our host had excellent communication and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

I wish I could have stayed longer! Alexandra has so lovingly restored the Travelling Bishop, and she was lovely to communicate with. Not only did the accommodation look beautiful, it felt homely and welcoming the minute I unlocked the door. The bed is so comfortable and there were many thoughtful touches throughout the space to enjoy. Pack yourself a cheese platter, your favourite drink and a Bluetooth speaker - you will not want to leave!

A beautiful and unique place to relax with everything you need to unwind. Ample supplies and facilities for meals and refreshments as well as being walking distance to general store and local pub. Huge king bed with plenty of bedding, gorgeous bathroom with loads of soft towels and wonderful heating also. The grounds have a lovely developing garden to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening wine with colourful birdlife and neighbouring cattle. The only thing I didn’t like was the bugs, particularly the spiders. The host was fabulous, communicating clearly from the moment of booking. Access and check in was easy and check out instructions were simple. Overall an absolutely gorgeous place to stay while visiting the area. Will definitely stay again.
