A wonderful weekend at Venus Bay, swam, walked the dogs, entertained octogenarian and nonagenarian in-laws and parents in a great setting - they even managed the stairs!

Great stay!

Our family loved staying at this property. The location is amazing and the house was very comfortable. We loved the mid century feel! Only whinge is that the bbq was not usable, the tyres on the bikes were flat and the pool table fitted into a small box. Having said that we would stay again hopefully they will replace the grill on the bbq

Great place

Had everything we needed. Only negative was the beach nearby didn’t allow dogs (even on leads) but that’s nothing to do with the house. Loved toasting marshmellows on the fire pit.

Relaxing escape!

Great place to get away from the busy nine-to-five world and relaxing in bubble of tranquillity. Host was excellent, accommodation had everything you could need plus that great 70s vide! Hope to return some day soon!

A different stay

We stayed at Michael’s in mid august, and although the weather wasn’t our best friend we had so much fun! Every corner of the place is a surprise - in a good way.

Secluded relaxation :)

Michael's place was a wonderful place to stay. Relaxing space with beautiful eclectic decor - great time away where everything was though out to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Wonderful way to spend a weekend - secluded beach walks and a balcony overlooking nature. Recommended!

Better than imagined

The sound of the beach & view over the tea trees along with the sky from the balcony was breath taking. Loved the vintage, zen retreat vibe. Lots to do at the house and close to the house.

Great location

Can't fault the location right across from the ocean in a quiet street. Not far from Beach no.4 which we visited multiple times. Unfortunately there are known issues with housekeeping & property management but will hopefully be sorted out. Wet laundry, dirty sheets, old rough towels, un mopped floors & couldn't use the BBQ.

Serenity & Nostalgia

We had beautiful few days with our kids (9 & 11) in Venus bay. Michael was easy to communicate with and the house was equipped with everything we might need. The location was the best , walking distance to #4 beach which is stunning! The house is filled with collectables and retro memorabilia which gave me big time flashbacks :) We hope to stay again sometime.

Peace and tranquillity in a 70s time capsule

Look out over pristine tea tree covered sand dunes hiding a 27km long surf beach on the other side. A peaceful 70s time capsule in a quiet bird filled street. Perfect.

Worst BnB experience by far. Arrived 10pm and couldn’t access key box with code provided. No contact from host or property manager available. Still no reply!, had to climb through window to access! Linen and towels piled on floor, still slightly damp. Not enough linen for the 7 of us. Very dusty, floor not cleaned, dishwasher full of crusty plates. Firepit and backyard area, full of rusty furniture (pics are pretty old), rubbish and weeds, bbq dirty, unusable area. Doors and windows hard to open, old. Nightmare to move around crammed in dining table. Kitchen and bathrooms were ok but General dusty smell of incense and slight dampness pervades house. Disappointing, this place is poor for the area, shame, great location, was probably good 10 years ago but in serious need of an uplift along with basic customer service and a working key box.
