Take an afternoon to hike to the top of Big Bald Mountain where you can see six different states! It is also part of the Appalachian Trail!
As you step into Sundance View, you'll be greeted by rustic charm and modern comforts. The living room is a cozy cocoon of relaxation, featuring plump couches and a gas fireplace that promises to kindle not just flames but also the warmth of shared stories. Both of the kitchens on the main and lower levels are fully equipped for those who believe that the best meals are the ones shared with loved ones. All bedrooms have been designed with comfort in mind for all guests as they each boast of Queen beds and tub showers as well as one separate bedroom on the lower level which has a double bed and full bath. Enjoy playing bumper pool downstairs and/or the 5 person hot tub on the lower deck. Both the main and lower levels have mini-splits which provide A/C in the summer and extra heat in the winter. Venture outside to the spacious deck for morning coffee and to greet the animals. Whether you're soaking in the hot tub or sipping your morning coffee with a view that could inspire poets, Sundance View has a way of making every moment unforgettable. There is a firepit in the yard for your enjoyment. For adventure seekers, the cabin is a hidden gem of the NC mountains. There is also a "bonus" room downstairs for those children who would like to express their feelings by drawing/painting! Explore nearby trails, chase waterfalls, or simply embrace the slower pace of mountain life. Sundance View isn't just a cabin; it's a place where mountain memories are created. Hatley Pointe Ski Resort is less than a quarter mile down the road and offers the best skiing in WNC, fine dining, drinks to order, and starting in Spring, 2026, newly built bicycle trails for those biking enthusiasts! The owners are members of the Village Amenities which gives you access to the swimming pool, trout fishing, pickle ball and tennis to guests! WINTER ACCESS REQUIRES EITHER A 4-WHEEL OR ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE(S).
Please note, Sundance View's 3rd bedroom is on the lower level of the home, which has no direct interior access from the top level of the home. Guests must access the 3rd bedroom via an exterior staircase to the lower level entrance. We are pet friendly and have Roku streaming.
