BushLights Glade by Tiny Away is nestled in a secluded nature retreat in Kumbarilla – gateway to Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. Tucked away within 100 acres of bushland, this peaceful farm stay in the scenic Western Downs region offers quiet trails, open skies and native bushland, creating the perfect setting to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Enjoy tiny house living surrounded by natural bushland, with walking trails and a shared community fire pit to make the most of the outdoors. Our holiday homes are also a great base for exploring regional highlights, from Russell Tavern and Chinchilla Botanic Parkland to Dalby Diepingen Lookout, the Australian Age of Dinosaurs and Qantas Founders Museum.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: BushLights Glade is fully off-grid, powered by solar energy and supplied by collected rainwater, offering a simple and sustainable way to stay connected with nature.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.

BushLights Glade by Tiny Away is located in Kumbarilla, Australia. Our tiny house is set on 100 acres of bush land surrounded by towering gums and native flora. Just 1.5 hours away from Toowoomba, these holiday homes are the perfect place to start exploring the Queensland region.
Enjoy the local pubs and cafés, such as the Russell Tavern. Take a relaxing walk through the Chinchilla Botanic Parkland or admire sweeping rural views from the Dalby Diepingen Lookout. Discover highlights sites like the Australian Age of Dinosaurs in Winton, the immersive Hard Times Mine tour and Outback at Isa in Mount Isa, and the Qantas Founders Museum in Longreach.
Lake Broadwater offers a range of water activities including kayaking, birdwatching, and peaceful lakeside picnics. Take a scenic drive to visit the historic Wild Dog Fence, one of the longest structures in the world and don’t miss our very own on-site bush light show, a magical after-dark experience that brings the forest to life.

Other Things to Note:
- Wi-Fi available
- Gas BBQ grill is available
- No pets and kids allowed
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Mobile reception is limited to Telstra; all other networks have no signal
- Due to bushfire risk, open fires aren’t permitted, but a gas BBQ is provided
- The tiny house area is private and separate, with caravan sites about 100 m away
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important Note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
