Ashwood AFrame is an exclusive luxe cabin set on 45 acres on the banks of Macdonald River. Just a 2.5hr drive from Sydney, this uniquely designed retreat blends cabin vibes with modern comfort.

🌲 Outdoors

- Set on a secluded property of 45 acres with a private beach. Direct access to the Macdonald River, perfect for fishing, swimming, wildlife spotting and exploring down the river bend (Full disclosure that currently, with the minimal rain that has come through the area, the water levels right in front of the Aframe are unfortunately quite low. However, if you walk along the river to the right, you may find some pockets of deeper water to soak and wade through. We are all praying for some rain!)

The cabin will be exclusive to you and your guests for the duration of your stay. Note there is a trailer in the back end of the property (this is where we camped out when we were building the Aframe!) but rest assured it is empty and locked up. Self-check-in is available, allowing you to arrive and settle in at your own convenience.

We’ll leave you to enjoy the peace and privacy of Ashwood Aframe, but we’re always just a message away if you need anything. We’re happy to offer local tips, answer questions, or assist with anything during your stay — simply reach out through the Airbnb app.

As this is a self check-in property, you’ll have full privacy throughout your stay. We respect your space, but we’re always nearby (virtually!) to help make your stay as smooth and relaxing as possible.

*Off-grid living*: Ashwood AFrame runs entirely on solar power, rainwater, and a septic system - but don’t worry, everything is designed for comfort, and with sustainability in mind, including backups for essential systems.

*Wi-Fi*: Starlink Wi-Fi is available, offering bandwidth stronger than city connections.

*Pets*: We welcome pets on a case-by-case basis. Please keep pets off furniture and clean up after them. We have fences fronting the river and a gate at the entry, but there are still other parts of our boundary that are not fully fenced. As we are surrounded by native wildlife, pets must be supervised at all times.

*Neighbours*: The Valley is also home to a lot of generations-deep local farmers and so we ask you pay your utmost respect to them, their animals and their property. The Valley can be quiet at night, and sounds can echo through the valley, so we ask you refrain from playing very loud music outdoors at night. Strictly no parties are allowed on the property.

*Sustainably built*: Every aspect of the cabin has been intentionally designed for comfort, quality, and sustainability in mind. We would love it if you treated the space as your own and helped us care for it, including keeping it clean before leaving, so it can be enjoyed for years to come.
