Appartamento Monache - in the historic centre of Tuscan hill village, Lucignano

With my wife, Catherine, we have been going to and staying in Lucignano since 2010, we loved it so much we own house in the centro of Lucignano. We have always enjoyed going there as we enjoy the friendly people and the beautiful nature of the place. Lucignano is a genuine, ‘lived-in’ Italian hilltop Tuscan village - beautiful but not over-touristed. I am sure you, as guests of our house, will enjoy it too. I wish to add, in addition to the property description, the unique feature of Appartamento Monache is that you can enjoy, for 2026, our house gardens and large swimming pool. These two things are just not normally available to a property in the centro storico of Tuscan hilltop mediaeval village. The only reason we have them is that our house (before an extensive renovation - just finished) used to be a hotel (converted from a monastery in the early 1960’s) and a pool was constructed then. One thing is for certain, on a hot summer’s day in central Tuscany, nothing is better that diving into your own private swimming pool! Or having an aperitivo in your large private garden, watching the sun set. In fact, just writing this, I want to be there right now!
