We’re originally from the Sutherland Shire but discovered Boorowa several years ago when Jeremy stumbled across an old emporium on the main street — “The Model Store.” Renovating that space gave us the chance to truly connect with the town and its people, and over time we’ve developed a genuine fondness for Boorowa and formed many lasting friendships.
On countless trips to the local tip after long days of renovation work, Jeremy would dream aloud about one day owning Wentworth House. We’d often find ourselves at the Ram & Stallion with a well-earned drink, looking across at the building and imagining what it could become.
In 2021, that dream became a reality. Since then, we’ve been carefully improving the property while making the most of time spent with friends and the welcoming local community.
For us, Boorowa is a place to pause — to escape the pace of city life, step away from work, and reconnect. It’s a truly special town, and we love being able to share a little piece of it with our guests

Wentworth House is one of a kind — a rare blend of history, character, and modern comfort. Built in 1885, this property began as a traveller’s inn in the original township of “Burrowa,” welcoming guests arriving by horse and cart. Today, it honours it's rich past, with soaring ceilings, period features, and a timeless country charm.
After a fire in 1914 destroyed much of the original structure, parts were rebuilt in 1915, creating what is now our Guesthouse, while the original two-storey Townhouse with its veranda remains at the heart of the property. Together, these spaces offer flexibility for all kinds of stays — the Townhouse comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests, while the Guesthouse is perfect for up to 4.
What makes Wentworth House truly special is how it brings people together. The two spaces can be opened into one expansive home, ideal for groups — whether you're hosting a family gathering, a weekend with friends, a motorcycle touring group, or a wellness retreat. From long-table dinners to relaxed afternoons in the outdoor entertaining area, the property invites connection and relaxation.
As custodians of such a historic home, we are continually improving the property between guest stays. From installing new skylights, enhancing lighting and fans, restoring original windows, adding fireplaces, or repairing and repainting heritage features like gutters, you may occasionally notice minor works in progress. These improvements are always carefully planned to enhance comfort while respecting the home’s character, with the goal of creating something special and long-lasting for our guests.
Step outside and you’ll find hints of its past, remnants of the original stables, with plans for a future cottage conversion. Enjoy fresh eggs from the coop, unwind under wide country skies, or spend evenings beneath the stars.
Wentworth House isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to experience, gather, and create lasting memories in a setting unlike any other.
