This unique getaway is three levels of mesmerizing architecture, eclectic lighting, and contemporary design woven with outdoor spaces in Wellington, New Zealand. The rental was creatively constructed using three vertically-stacked containers and a winding staircase to interlink each level. Glampers will want to be sure to pack a camera or clear up extra storage on their phones to share memories of this photogenic staycation.
This beautiful vacation rental can accommodate up to eight guests comfortably. There are three bedrooms and each have their own quirky personality and are furnished with king-size beds, plenty of comfy pillows, nightstands, contemporary lighting, and a dresser to unpack and settle in. There is also a deluxe self-inflatable mattress that fits in the cinema room and can accommodate another two guests.
The first bedroom is situated in the top container and has its own private balcony and cinema room. The cinema room is equipped with an HD projector screen, a PlayStation 3, a Bluray DVD Player, a library of DVDs, video games, and board games. The second bedroom is located in the second container and has the benefit of being just steps from the hydrotherapy vortex spa. Guests can enjoy an evening hopping in and out of the spa tub or relaxing on the bean bag chairs. The third bedroom has one of the best views with a full wall-to-wall window next to the bed showcasing the beautiful sprawling greenery outside.
There is a family bathroom with a shower on the second floor and a toilet and separate bathhouse on the lower level. There’s even an outdoor shower for the brave to have a wash in the great outdoors.
The three containers seamlessly blend with outdoor spaces, providing plenty of room for guests to gather throughout the rental. Guests can relax in style on the first level lounge and browse the collection of records to listen to on the record player or settle into the comfy couches across from the television. On the other end of the container is an indoor dining area.
The modern kitchen is equipped with the essentials and appliances for a luxury stay, including a refrigerator, an oven, a dishwasher, a deep kitchen sink, a coffeemaker, and a SodaStream. There is plenty of counter space to lay out a spread of afternoon snacks or cook up an evening meal. There is an outdoor dining area on the sheltered deck perfect for sharing a weekend brunch together. There is also bench seating and a view of the Greywacke rock face and a private waterfall. There is a gas grill on the deck and outdoor heating if the weather cools down.
The garage below the first level has an eight-foot pool table, a sofa for lounging, and a secure parking for a single car.
Glampers will enjoy the ambient lighting and artistic design of the home mingled with the outdoors. The architecture strategically opens up space with its windows, connection to the outdoor areas, and spiraling staircase, offering fluid accessibility and privacy throughout the house.
