Downstairs studio unit with new kitchen, including full size stacking washer-dryer, microwave/convection wall oven, granite countertops with tile backsplash, rear entrance door and small private patio perfect for pets, depending on size (not too small). New bathroom with old-fashioned tub/shower combination. Murphy-style queen bed with upgraded foam mattress, converts to computer desk. Single convertable couch-to bed. Built-in lighted cabinets for closet. Mounted large screen TV, electric flame-looking fireplace plus gas wall furnace. A/C, internet, all utilities paid for. On street parking, patio with shared BBQ and table/umbrella that seats 8.

Discovering Santa Rosa

While selling our nearby home, we decided on getting a VRBO rental during the open house periods. We were lucky to find this rental available. It met all of our needs and we could bring out 2 dogs to boot! We met the owner Linda the first night we arrived. She was very friendly and welcoming and the property manager Mandy was really responsive when a couple of things came up. Great location, parking, cool vintage building. You will enjoy it too!

Comfortable Unit/Wonderful Neighborhood

Very clean and well equipped unit. Excellent communication with host. Very nice, walkable residential neighborhood. Near a grocery store and a short drive to downtown and wine country. Although near a main road, the road noise lessens at night. Hospitable welcome gift! Our confusion regarding check-in time was quickly clarified after good communication with the host. We would stay here again.

Just what we needed

This property was exactly as advertised. The location was central to our planned activities and the on-site manager was very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was pleasant. The property changed ownership on Oct. 1, the day we checked out. We "heard" the new owners plan improvements that will make this property even better. Great place for a getaway

Great stay in Santa Rosa

Everything was just what I expected from the pictures and very clean. We were very comfortable here and the neighborhood seems safe. There were a number of things the host thought of that really made our stay hassle free . There were enough nice clean smelling towels, bath items, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, dish soap and scrub brush. It was nice not to have to run to the store and spend on items we wouldn’t be able to bring home to use. Favorite stay in Santa Rosa so far.

Great place for two

Santa Rosa Vacation

Really enjoyed our stay in the unit. It had everything we needed to enjoy our time away. Even a washer/dryer ! When the option to stay an additional two days became available we booked it !

Fabulous, clean & comfy!!

What a nice experience! This very clean apartment was updated, adorable and also was very accommodating for my pup :) The property manager was on site, very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again!

Perfect

Great stay. Close to everything. Provided detergent, dryer sheets, and all the little things you could want and normally have to buy. We had the best time playing board games (provided) on the patio and we loved waking under 1/2 mile to the grocery and Starbucks each morning..

All My Needs Were Exceeded!

I had an outstanding vacation because of this particular rental. As soon as you open the gate you know you picked the best place available because of the cute courtyard. It was clean! Really clean. The dog themed pillows on the pristine white bedspread welcomes you instantly. The rental manager, Denise, was amazing! She was approachable, interesting, kind, and smart. Which helped from retrieving another pod for the washing machine to more toilet paper to restaurant suggestions. The kitchen was complete with a complimentary bottle of JOSH wine. Cold waters in the frig and an ice cooler to barrow made may day trips easier. There are many grocery stores and doughnut shops. This location is an hour from the ocean and only half hour from Calistoga and other interesting towns to explore. The Petrified Forest is on your way to Calistoga. Everything is expensive in California. Prepare yourself for sticker shock if you have not been here before. There was plenty of street parking. I felt safe leaving my vehicle unattended. Santa Rosa is a small town with a big shopping mall. Plenty of food options, events, and yoga classes. My check in was easy. I liked that I could not lock myrself out of my rental. As I have done this before. The heater worked quickly. The A/C worked as well. The ROKU TV had many options. The closet was HUGE. I look forward to this clean and beautifully decorated place again, especially if Denise is the rental manager.

Cute place. Close to everything!

Sharons place was great! Plenty of room and everything we needed for our stay. Checking in with Denise was a breeze. There is a nice outside patio to enjoy as well. The building was quiet and there is plenty of parking in the peaceful neighborhood. Our son and his family live in Santa Rosa so this place just made number one on our list of places to stay when visiting.

Great little suit

This is a lovely little suit to stay in. It's well stocked with everything you need for a short to medium length stay. I was in Santa Rosa attending The Micheal Ellis Dog Training School, so I had 2 dogs with me. The neighborhood was lovely to walk through and the property manager was great to deal with.

Don and Sharon Hamilton are second generation native Northern Californians. They have owned this building for over 20 years, and have upgraded it from time to time, and lived in it between other projects. Currently, they live downstairs in Unit #2.

Recent remodels of Units #1 and #2 also included new dual-paned windows throughout the whole building, new colorful Florida-style paint, awnings and palm trees. We love the beach vibe, and when we're not in Santa Rosa, look for us over on the Florida Gulf Coast at Indian Rocks Beach.

Don still sells real estate, while Sharon, former Realtor, is now a full time novelist. Some of her books as well as others are yours for the taking upon your stay.

Walking distance to downtown, as well as Town & Country Market, a boutique grocer with world-class meats and a deli that rivals any in the county. Proctor Terrace Elementary school is nearby, with a blacktopped hoop area and soccer field. First Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of McDonald Avenue and Pacific. Don't miss City Garden doughnut shop on 4th Street, as well as NY Pie (and they deliver). If you desire a taste of NOLA, The Parrish has cheese and shrimp grits and strong coffee that will melt your insides.

Montgomery Village is also close by, about a 20 minute walk, with numerous shops and restaurants, with lots of outdoor dining choices, at all times of year. Safeway and CVS are very close.

Montecito Health Club is behind CVS and across the street. They allow day passes (arrange through them), and has a spa, two pools, tennis courts, fitness areas and access to personal training. There is also a large family pool for health club visitors behind the Flamingo (passes required).

Our Proctor Terrace neighborhood is perfect for dog-walking, leisurely biking or just taking an afternoon stroll. Our vintage 1940's building fits right in with the neighborhood style and flavor. You'll find it a dog-friendly area with friendly residents.

By car, closest hospital is barely 2 miles away, Memorial Hospital, with world renowned Kelly Cardiac Care center.

Reservations for wine tours, trekking, zipline canopy tours and other activities can be arranged through the reception area at the Flamingo Hotel, and several wine tours begin there.
