Having lived in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany, I have always enjoyed discovering different cultures, meeting people from around the world, and experiencing new places.

My hobbies include aerial yoga, tennis, and both domestic and international travel. Over the years, I have visited more than 55 countries, and many of my ideas for hospitality have been inspired by the memorable places and people I encountered along the way.

SMITH OASIS Waterfall Retreat was created with a simple vision: to offer travellers a peaceful retreat amid Osaka's concrete jungle. Surrounded by water, greenery, art and thoughtfully curated details, it is a place where guests can slow down, relax and feel at home while exploring Osaka.

One of the greatest joys of hosting is meeting guests from around the world. I genuinely enjoy hearing their stories, learning about their cultures, and sharing recommendations for Osaka and Japan.

I chose this area because it offers the best of Osaka. Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and Kuromon Market are all within walking distance, yet the neighbourhood itself is surprisingly peaceful.

What I love most is the balance between convenience and atmosphere. Countless restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and convenience stores are just around the corner, while Nara, Kyoto, Osaka Castle and Universal Studios Japan are all easily accessible by train.

This area also holds special meaning for me, as it has long been connected to my family's history.

To me, it captures both the energy and everyday charm of Osaka.

What makes SMITH OASIS unique is its vision. I wanted to create an urban oasis in the heart of Osaka — a place where guests can slow down and unwind surrounded by water, greenery and art amid the energy of the city.

Smith Oasis is a collection of four distinct apartments in a single building, each with its own character while sharing the same oasis-inspired philosophy.

Flowing water, lush greenery, curated artwork and carefully preserved architectural details can be found throughout the property. Selected materials from the previous building were thoughtfully reused, giving them a new life while preserving a sense of history and character.

Across all four apartments, guests will find thoughtfully designed interiors, natural materials and a calm atmosphere created for rest and relaxation. The penthouse's rooftop garden, flowing water and open sky further express the oasis concept that inspired SMITH OASIS.
