Dunmore Farm

Set on 150 acres in the scenic foothills of North East Victoria, The Cottage at Dunmore Farm is an award-winning farm stay where heritage charm meets contemporary country living.



Built in the 1860s from red gum timber milled on the property, the cottage has been thoughtfully restored to retain its character while offering the comforts of a modern retreat. Featured in Country Style, Domain and The Design Files, Dunmore has become known for its considered design, connection to place and authentic farm stay experience.

The cottage accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms, including two queen rooms and a king single bunk room. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, wood fire, air conditioning, luxury French linen, high-speed Starlink WiFi, a curated library, smart television and thoughtful touches designed to help you settle in and relax.

Outside, life unfolds at a slower pace. Enjoy your morning coffee on the veranda, wander through the gardens, collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop, gather seasonal produce from the orchard, soak in the wood-fired Ember hot tub beneath the stars or spend an evening around the fire pit with a glass of local wine.

Dunmore is a working farm and guests are welcome to enjoy a taste of farm life during their stay. Meet Bobby, our Bernese Mountain Dog, say hello to Benny and Betty, our pygmy goats, visit the chickens and observe our small herd of Angus cattle. For those interested, we are always happy to share a little of the property's history and daily farm life through a guided farm tour.

While many guests choose to spend their days at the farm, Dunmore is also perfectly positioned to explore the region. Milawa, Oxley and Moyhu are just 25 minutes away, the King Valley wine region is within 45 minutes, and Beechworth, Mansfield and Rutherglen are all easily reached for a day trip.
