Our cottage offers a cozy dwelling with ample outdoor space and proximity to nearby attractions. Our cottage has been renovated with an updated: kitchen, modern bathroom, living room and porch. This is our part-time mountain home and we want you to enjoy it as much as we do! Our realtor once described this house as feeling like you were wrapped in a warm blanket- we agree, and we hope you do too!

House is equipped with BRAND NEW 75" LG smart TV and BRAND NEW Jacuzzi J245 hot tub. House also has a propane BBQ grill and fire pit (sometimes inaccessible in the winter after large snowfalls). Guest will have access to all of these amenities as well as many more kitchen essentials. Master bedroom also has Amazon Fire television and en suite bathroom. In the dining room closet you will find the following games/activities:
- cornhole
- miniature table tennis
- yoga mat
- yoga blocks (2)
- wiffle ball & bat
- basketball (pump available too)
- whack-a-mole game
Please help yourself to any of these, just put them back when you’re done with them.

This is an all seasons cottage rental:
- In the warmer months, enjoy swimming, fishing, hiking and BBQ's! Our cottage is only a 3-4 minute walk to one of the 6 and biggest lakes in this private community! Feel free to enjoy the day on our property: BBQ'ing and enjoying a breeze on the hammock. Enjoy the night toasting marshmallows at the fire pit!
- In the colder months, enjoy skiing or snow tubing at any of the local slopes and coming home to a roaring fire in the wood burning fireplace while having hot chocolate on the cozy, comfy couches.

Firewood: you are free to bring your own, or we can supply some for a nominal fee. We work on the honor system here - let us know how much you need, we’ll be happy to accommodate. As a little bonus, all weekend rentals come with firewood included!

This is our part-time home, so do not be surprised that the fridge and the pantry are fully-stocked. But please, help yourself to anything in the kitchen! We wouldn't have it any other way.

The gas grill is a bit on the old side, but it still works great. The grill is cleaned regularly, but an old grill is an old grill - only so much can be done! We keep an extra propane tank on-site at all times in case the one hooked up runs out; we also have a charcoal grill here for those that prefer to go that route.

We had a great time with another couple at this house! Great hiking and ponds and lakes are very close by. The house itself is cozy and with lots of natural light. It had what we needed and two huge perks were the hot tub and also having our dogs with us. Also the queen beds were very comfortable. Theodore was very responsive, warm and friendly!

Long Weekend Away

This ended up being a solo trip for me and this house was perfect for it! Also perfect for adding some others. The area was quiet, saw security vehicle driving around every day so it made me feel a little better being alone. I loved having my coffee outside every morning and watching the deer around, never gets old to me. Not far from stores, if you need one or from some great places to visit. Owners communication was great. Will definitely come back!

Fun time un Long Pond

Property was as advertised. The weather was unusually chilly so no lake time. Kept busy with Kahalari indoor park, Jim Thorpe and Camelback zip lines and mountain roller coaster. Very pricy though. Plenty of cooking - utensils, etc. bedding galore! Deer came right up on the property several times -- I think they're well fed. We even had a nest if baby robins who took off yesterday! Overall- good deal for the cost.

Pictures do not show what this actually looks like!! Would not recommend

Pulling up to this cabin we were surprised at all of the garbage laying around the perimeter of the property. Garbage bags of cans hidden under a door leaning on the house, garbage cans filled with garbage, scrap wood from a supposed porch expansion, landscaping blocks, hammocks that were broken and falling off of the trees. HotTub was there as listed but the steps leading to it were dangerous. We went inside to find the house had possibly been straightened up. We had to take out more garbage because of the smell. Swepted the floors, tried to get some of the cobwebs down. We stopped when our son looked at the loft and found more garbage and some random things that did nt look safe. We contacted the owner and he offered to have someone clean We didn’t see anyone unless they came while we weren’t there. We were not expecting a fancy cabin but we did want to stay somewhere clean and safe. This unit was neither of those things. We chose this for the location of where our daughter dance competition was and for the lakes and pools he had listed as part of the community. The one thing that wasn’t mentioned was the fact that we had to pay extra to use the facilities. When we discovered this we asked to check out early We had stayed a few days and want to get a refund for the two days we wouldn’t be staying. The owner refused because he would be charged fees on his end if he modified the reservation. We 100% would not recommend this unit.

We absolutely loved the accommodations. It was just what we needed for a nice relaxing quiet getaway. Only thing i would suggest is the possibility of a snow shovel being accessible for snowy weather conditions. Other than that all was perfect in every way. We appreciate lending us your house and allowing a reprieve from the daily grind

Cozy Pocono Home

Cozy little Pocono home, perfect for families and pet friendly! Our pup enjoyed her first vacation away from home with us! We enjoyed the yard with the hot tub and fire pit and all of the deer visitors that basically came right up to us! Perfect driving distance for any in town trips needed and just sight seeing around the Poconos! Host was extremely helpful and responsive for anything and everything needed!

Nice weekend getaway

We a great time relaxing, sitting by the fire, soaking in rhe hot tub and exploring by the lake. The place was clean and well stocked incase you forgot anything. Great communication from the owner, when had some questions they got right back to us.

So welcoming and ultra dog-friendly!

A perfect getaway for me and my best buddy. Absolutely anything a guest might need has been thought of. The little touches are welcoming, the hot tub was delightful, and the fireplace made it perfect. The area is lovely, the nearby lake is quite beautiful. A perfect getaway spot whether solo or with a family, and especially with doggos. Added note, the owners are kind and understanding. I accidentally caused damage to the property and was terribly upset, but they were super nice about the whole thing and we worked it out.

Nice little place

Everything was perfect. Very peaceful surroundings. We were looking for a quiet weekend away from the city to kick back, relax and enjoy the sights. Place had everything we needed. Ted is a great host.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Bernies Place. It was just what our family needed. It was very easy to find and the hosts were very gracious and accommodating. It was also wonderful to find a place that was dog friendly!

Very generous owners

We stayed here for a ski weekend at Camelback and had a great time. The mountain is an easy 10-15 min drive from Bernie's. The owners were very responsive, accommodating, and generous. This is a no frills place, but very comfortable nonetheless.

This property is perfect, IMO. First, the obvious: the brand new Jacuzzi J245 hot tub, the 75" LG smart TV, the fireplace, the firepit, and the area as a whole. It's in a community so you're not completely isolated, but you've also got plenty of privacy. The roads are sparsely traveled to the point where walking, biking, even golf-carting is extremely safe. The location can't be beat - walking distance to the lake, easy drive to skiing, snowtubing, shopping of all kind. We get all four seasons here - the summer is beautiful but not cripplingly hot; the winter actually produces legit snow accumulation, and the leaves in the fall are stunning. It's also less than two hours to both mid-town Manhattan and center-city Philadelphia (as well as 30-40 minutes from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre & Allentown/Bethlehem areas).

The fire pit is probably my favorite part of the property itself - it was built by the previous owner and was clearly done with a lot of thought. The hammocks are nice too, when you want to read a book or just zone out for a bit. The deck is especially nice to sit on and have a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. But now with the hot tub recently installed, that might have taken over as the single best amenity. The 75" smart TV in the living room isn't bad either.
