Sometimes the best trips are the simpler ones: a couple or a small group of friends, a comfortable room, and an entire wilderness waiting outside the door. That's Snowmobile House #2 at Haliburton Forest's Base Camp.

This two-bedroom unit sleeps up to 3 — a double bed in one bedroom for couples, and a single bed in the other for an extra guest. The kitchenette is well-equipped: two-burner cooktop, bar-size fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, kettle, plus cookware and dishes. A three-piece bathroom, dining area, and all linens, pillows, facecloths, towels, dish soap and hand soap are provided. To be environmentally conscious the units are not supplied with any single use products. Please bring your own coffee (we have filters for the machine), tea, spices, shampoo, conditioner and soap for the shower.

This unit is not pet-friendly.

The double-and-single layout is ideal for a couple with one child, or a trio of friends who want separate sleeping spaces. If you need more room, Snowmobile House #1 and #3 are in the same building and can be booked alongside.

Right outside is the full spread of Haliburton Forest: 400+ km of trails and gravel roads for hiking, trail running, and biking, 100 lakes for fishing, paddling and swimming, the Wolf Centre for a face-to-face with resident wolves, and the Boshkung Smokehouse for lunch and dinner. The Camp Store is steps away for anything you forgot.

Cook smores over a fire at one of our communal firepits, enjoy an outdoor game from our games shed and be sure to test your skills finding our hidden Geocaches!
