Thirlmere Homestead was a fantastic getaway from the coast. The property was neat as a pin, welcoming and thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of spaces to gather for meals and chats. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, and the peaceful country setting offered an abundance of kangaroos and birdlife.There is plenty to explore nearby, too. Picton offers lovely restaurants and walking opportunities, including the Botanic Gardens, while Thirlmere has interesting tourist attractions such as the Rail Museum for those with time to explore.A couple of additions would have made our stay even better: an outdoor BBQ with a small supply of wood, and a microwave (perhaps we’re a little spoiled by modern conveniences!). Communications with Rania were prompt and clear throughout.Overall, a lovely country escape in a tranquil setting.
