Welcome to Gîte des Fromentaux near Chinon

Located in the heart of the Loire Anjou Touraine regional natural park, in a beautiful 19th century property opposite the owner's accommodation, this small house with a garden entirely enclosed by hedges and trees, with a terrace not overlooked, will allow you to fully enjoy calm and the joys of the countryside despite being less than five minutes by bike from all shops.
In a courtyard closed by automated gate the cottage offers:
Ground floor: living room 25m² (sofa, TV), fitted kitchen 9m² (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, induction hob, traditional oven), shower room, toilet.
Upstairs: 1st bedroom (1 double bed 160x200 separable into 2 beds 80x200, 1 single bed 90/190 wardrobe) 2nd bedroom (2 single beds 90x200, wardrobe).

Close to, among others, the castles of Chinon (8km), Rigny Ussé (8km), Rivau (10km), Montsoreau (8km), Langeais (25km), Azay le Rideau (25km), Saumur (20km), the Abbey of Fontevrault, the town of Richelieu (20km) and in the heart of the Chinon vineyard, near those of Bourgueil, Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, Champigny, Saumur, Layon.
Note: a deposit of 300€ will be requested on arrival at the cottage and will be returned, except for damage, on your departure.

Great for Cycling

Fabulous gite in a fantastic location. Great for the Loire a Velo route and lots of quiet roads to cycle on. Very well equipped gite and the owners Rene and Nicole were very helpful and friendly. Overall a fantastic holiday!

Escapade agréable

Les propriétaires (M. et Mme Vineau) nous ont réservé un accueil très convivial et ont repondu à tous nos besoins. De très bon conseil pour les visites dans la région et la gastronomie. Expérience à partager avec eux. Par contre, attention avec Abritel. Vérifiez bien votre devis. Dans notre cas, erreur sur la taxe de séjour ! Et le robot (IA) qui nous a répondu sur le site a reconnu l'erreur mais renvoie la gestion de cette erreur sur les propriétaires qui ne sont pas concernés puisque les fonds ont été encaissés par Abritel !!! Aucune proposition de remboursemenr reçue.

Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme und wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen und bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Nicole und René sind stets hilfsbereit und geben Hinweise für die Freizeitgestaltung. Die Terrasse und der Garten sind super und laden zum Entspannen ein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Loire Holiday

A lovely holiday. The gite has a beautiful garden to sit in and is equipped to a very good standard.A warm welcome from René and Nicole on our arrival. We came to see the Châteaux of the Loire and there were many located very close to the gite. We didn't realise from the description that the bathroom was on a different floor to the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem for us, but could have been for others.

Chinon stay in character property.

The property was very nice and the hosts were also very helpful. The only discrepancy that we consider worth mentioning is that in the property description it did not state that the bathroom and toilet were on the ground floor whereas the bedrooms were on the first floor. This fact was however described correctly in the confirmation receipt, which is only provided after booking confirmation. One is allowed to cancel with 100% reimbursement if this fact was of sufficient concern to guests and at least 1 month from due date of arrival, but i consider it would be better if the original property description clearly stated that the bathroom and toilet were on the ground floor. We would not have booked this property if we realised this. At our age visits to the bathroom are a nightly occurence and it necessitated lights to be turned on for safety reasons. For a family of 4 this might well be unacceptable disturbances. We did however really enjoy our stay in the area, we were blessed with fine weather and some wonderful meals out.

Trip to the Loire.

A lovely trip to cycle and walk, with some excellent visits to the local area. We particularly liked the terrace provision at gite. The hosts were excellent, very warm and welcoming.

Un gîte à privilégier pour visiter de nombreux châteaux

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'endroit est très calme. Il y a beaucoup de lieux intéressants à visiter. Les propriétaires sont charmants et discrets. Bref, une location que je recommanderais volontiers à des amis.

We spent a great week here - lovely gîte, clean, well equipped, friendly owners, large garden, peaceful neighbourhood, close to various tourist attractions, quiet lanes for family-friendly cycling straight from the door (bikes available to borrow from the owners). Would definitely recommend! 🙂

Friendly Owners Comfortable Gite

Well situated foir the best of the area, much to see and do in the area. The gite is in a quiet area but not far from all shops that you will need. Rene is very welcoming but not intrusive, there to help if you need him.

Gîtes très bien situé à proximité des lieux touristiques châteaux, et autres endroits touristiques.

Propriétaires très charmants et accueillants, le gîte est superbe, situé dans la propriété. Exterrieur: terrasse avec salon de jardin et table bien agréable. Jeux pour les enfants. Environnement très calme reposant. Excellent gîte.

Des vacances reposantes et culturelles !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le Gîte proposé par Nicole et René pour plusieurs raisons : - L’accueil des propriétaires, à la fois chaleureux et discret (oui, c’est possible) ; - La disposition de la maison individuelle qui est vraiment très agréable à vire et joliment aménagée : un séjour confortable, une belle cuisine très pratique (nous avons préparé au moins 1 repas par jour au Gîte), une literie toute neuve, le réveil accompagné du chant des oiseaux, une salle de bain très bien équipée, et le coin jardin (très grand) vraiment très agréable pour le déjeuner ou l’apéritif, sans vis-à-vis ; - Des commerces de proximité (carrefour, boucher, boulanger – pâtissier, maison des vins) à moins de 5 minutes à vélo ; - Les bons conseils de Nicole et René sur les restaurants, les curiosités à visiter, les chemins de la Loire à vélo ; Un conseil : profitez en bien, ca passe vite. J

Auf Fahradtour an der Loire

Mitte September 2019 haben wir uns für eine Woche in Beaumont-en-Veron wohlgefühlt.Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben uns Ihre wunderbaren süßen Tomaten geschwenkt . An Aperetifs hat es auch nicht gefehlt! Rene hat uns gute Weingüter empfolen.Fahrradwege sind sehr gut und gut ausgeschildert.Man sollte etwas französisch können

Un séjour parfait!!!

Nous avons passés une semaine toute à fait adorable chez Nicole et René, qui nous ont fait un accueil chaleureux et qui étaient toujours attentifs aux petits soins. Ils nous ont prétés des vélos pour toute la famille et ils nous ont donnés des bons conseils quelles promenades sont faisables avec les enfants. En plus ils ont tous organisé pour nous quand il nous fallait consulter un médécin. La maison est spacieux, joliment amenagées et très bien équipées. A Beaumont -en Véron on est très bien placé pour faire des excusion à beaucoup de Châteaux de la Loire - soit en vélo ou voiture. On y est bien au calme, mais les commerces sont tous à proximité à Avoine. Nous y reviendrons sûrement et nous sommes très heureux d'avoir fait la connaissance de ce couple très aimable. Je conseille ce gîte sans aucune hésitation!!! Merci pour cette semaine adorable!

ruhiges Ferienhaus auf dem Lande

Das gar nicht so kleine Ferienhaus liegt in einem sehr ruhigen Dorf inmitten von Feldern aus Weizen und Sonnenblumen. Es ist bereits vieles beschrieben worden und ich kann mich den sehr positiven Bewertungen nur anschließen. Mir bleiben daher nur wenige Informationen hinzuzufügen. Wer mit dem Auto anreist, parkt dieses direkt vor dem Eingang zum eigenen Haus hinter einem verschlossenen Hoftor, allerdings könnte man hier auf dem Land das Auto auch unverschlossen auf der Straße stehen lassen. Die Internetverbindung über WLAN ist 20Mbit down und 1 Mbit up, so dass man abends auch mal aus Netflix einen Film schauen kann. Parallel dazu ist der LTE-Empfang hier gut ausgebaut. Die Terrasse ist durch die Hecke links und gerade zu sowie einen Sichtschutz rechts nicht einsehbar, so dass man auch etwas lockerer am Frühstückstisch sitzen kann. Für die Nebensaison ist neben einem Kamin auch eine Elektroheizung im Haus vorhanden, allerdings sollte man den Urlaubszeitraum so wählen, das man tagsüber noch auf der Terrasse sitzen kann. In jedem Fall lohnt es sich auf ein Stündchen bei den besonders herzlichen Herbergseltern vorbeizuschauen, die direkt gegenüber wohnen. Wer aber seine Ruhe im Urlaub haben möchte, kann hier trotzdem buchen. Die beiden Golfplätze Saumur und Fontevraud habe ich im Hochsommer gemieden, da sie mangels Fairwaybewässerung recht braun waren. Um das Dorf herum gibt es reichlich ruhige, asphaltierte Nebenstraßen für Fahrradtouren oder zum Inlineskaten. Für Gourmets ist ein Abstecher ins Restaurant auf dem Gelände des Klosters Fontevraud verpflichtend (ein Michelin-Stern und den zu recht). Für den Rückweg lohnt es sich im Kofferraum etwas Platz für ein, zwei Kisten Wein der Appellation Touraine zu lassen.

Beau séjour en Loire

La propriété est très belle et le logement est parfait, tout-à-fait conforme à la description. Tout l'équipement est largement suffisant , ainsi qu'une belle terrasse équipée. La situation est centrale pour visiter toute la région et ses beaux châteaux. L'endroit est très calme et pourtant proche de tous les commerces. Les propriétaires sont des gens extrêmement charmants, rendant service et très discrets. Nous recommandons cette location sans réserve à tout qui veut proffiter des charmes de la Loire.
