German Haus is a private rustic studio cabin with Queen bed, a twin bed, a kitchenette, 2 seating high back chairs, kitchen table, and shower bathroom. It's great for the outdoor type person. Equipped with local TV channels, DVD, MW, WIFI, coffee pot, tea pot, kitchen utensils, fridge, and eating table. DOGS ALLOWED @ $25 NIGHT PER DOG. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKIN AFTER 10PM UNLESS SELF CHECKIN ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE. THE INTERIOR IS OLD BARN WOOD & TONGUE AND GROOVE PANELING. CABIN IS AS THE PHOTOS SHOW.

The space
German Haus is a rustic type cabin with heat and AC. Interior has reclaimed barn wood interior with handmade painted table and antiques. Bed linens , soap, and towels provided. Its in the country and on a small farm with sheep, goats, chickens, and dogs. Our dogs are in the fenced in pasture with the sheep. Being rustic please understand that if windows and doors are left open, bugs will come in. The water from a well tested by the state annually. It is not city water.
Room rate is $99.00 a night double occupancy. $40.00 additional person over 2. Coffee, tea, oatmeal, pastries, fresh fruit, and condiments available in cabin. refrigerator, MW, Small toaster oven, toaster, coffee pot, kitchen sink in room

Nice home away from home

The German Haus was spacious and came with all the amenities we needed. We stayed 7 nights and really enjoyed it. Was great location for what we had on our itinerary. We even hosted guests on the porch one evening. I always stay at Tortuga Inn when in the area.

Cozy and Quiet Cabin

Comfortable little cabin that was perfect for our visit to family. Had many amenities that most hotel's didn't provide. Only thing that could have made our stay perfect would have been a washer and dryer if we stayed longer. This is our second time staying here.

Cozy Farm Stay

We had a cozy farm stay at German Haus. My friends and I did the river float and this was a great place to stay after. Seeing the cute farm animals was a bonus! The place had all the neccesaties, we also enjoyed the fire pit.

This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway to celebrate a birthday! The country setting was ideal! The day before our travels, Linda, the host, was very good with informing us of all the necessary details (directions to the location, key code to the keys in lock box, what to do at check out....) The beds were super soft and comfortable. Linda also had milk, orange juice and breakfast foods waiting on us in the fridge... and the yummy snacks sitting out on the table was a bonus!

Nice stay

We loved it. Nice quiet stay that was easy to get in/out of. We had no issues. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered some complimentary breakfast items (fruit and coffee cake). We enjoyed our stay.

Our Indiana kayak getaway

The German Haus was phenomenal, serene, and unique. It made for for an outstanding weekend getaway The owners were great to work with and very friendly Everything was absolutely perfect. Even the cows were friendly and fun to watch Thank you to Linda Lee and Glen for sharing their piece of heaven with us.

Easy and convenient

Manager was very good about staying in touch and made the checking in process simple and straight forward. Property was clean and secluded from a busier city profile but still near a town for food or anything otherwise.

The German Haus was the perfect spot for a short getaway to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings nearby. The cottage was neat and tidy, instructions were very clear, and little amenities like breakfast snacks and drinks were much appreciated. The host was excellent to communicate with and always very helpful. Recommended!

Great for the price

Clean. Kitchen is a little crowded with stuff (water heater is right there and dehumidifier which is kind of loud). WiFi is spotty. But the place is clean and reasonably priced. Would stay there again.

Perfect quiet retreat!

German Haus was perfect. Had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable. We even had a little Netflix TV time. We did an art workshop with Linda. She is one of the most talented artists we have met. What an honor to be here. We will be back.
