Breath taking views of the Buffalo River Valley and 5 minutes from Ponca!! What more can we say? Buffalo View Cabin, sits on a 6th generational farm, in the Upper Buffalo River area. Here you will find yourself getting to experience "tiny home living!" It's an unique experience like camping but with luxury and all the extras. This cabin is rugged and rustic and the interior is made out of 75% recycled materials, much of it rehabbed from local barns. This "Little" cabin can sleep 8 people and has *WiFi*. Private room with a Queen bed and tv, 2 loft areas (Queen bed and 2 Twins), and a hide-a-bed (Full) in the living area-with a beautiful view of the Ozarks! There is a fully functioning kitchen-oven and stove top, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, some pots/pans, utensils, etc.... Outside you will find a large fire-pit with a covered grilling (charcoal) and picnic area that overlook the Buffalo River Valley. This cabin sits right in the middle of Ponca and the Compton Trailhead (both about 5-8min away!) *Sanitized, Bleached, Contactless Check-In, Rural Area(Social Distance Recommended), Beautiful Views!

Note: The Upper Buffalo Area is still a very rural area. Things like WiFi and cell service are a luxury and sometimes may be spotty. On the mountain there is sometimes extreme weather conditions-high winds and occasional icing at odd times. Fall and Winter get ice and snow. Also Buffalo View is on a working farm that grows hay and occasionally grazes livestock.

We loved this venue! The location was perfect and close to popular trails and the house had everything we needed to be comfortable for our weekend there. My only problem was I had asked a question via the website to the host about certain amenities 2 days before we left and it was never answered. That would have been very helpful to have answers prior to!

the cabin with the most beautiful views !!

we loved our entire stay here. it was so beautiful out here and peaceful. you go outside at night and you can hear the frogs in the pond but literally nothing else and it was so relaxing. 2 of the 3 trails we went on were no more than 10 minutes away. it’s the best place to go when you’re coming to engage with nature. will be coming back w more people!

Perfect in between to camping or full lodging!!

We had a wonderful stay! The pictures made it look a little bigger than it actually was, but it ended up being the perfect alternative to us camping. Everyone in our group, ranging from ages 9 to 40, absolutely loved how quaint and cozy it was. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable getaway. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful experience. Cozy, cute, and clean little cabin. This cabin was just perfect for our short little get-away. We needed some wide open spaces, and that's what we got. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Great Getaway

This was our Second time to stay at this beautiful property. This is a sweet, clean and very comfortable cabin. The nights were clear and the stars were very visible because there is minimal light pollution in this area. This was our second stay here and it will not be our last!

Great Place!

This tiny home was exactly what we were looking for! It was secluded but close enough for the trails and the river. We ate every meal at the tiny home the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the fire pit and was able to see every star! It was an amazing trip and we will definitely be back!

It was ok, problems…couldn’t access network tv stations & there were no instructions. Kitchen faucet leaking badly, front door handle ready to fall off& hardly any wood for fire pit. No way to contact owner since I didn’t have my VRBO password. Very frustrating. Tried to change password & code wouldn’t work. Will never book with VRBO AGAIN.

Glamping in Compton

The property was up a short very steep hill from the road but we had no issues climbing it in our truck. For our stay it was very windy but the cabin was tight and had electric heaters to keep warm. The view was fantastic at night to see the stars and no one bothered us. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for but the nearest town to get supplies was 20 miles away. Be sure to bring what you need with you as the other options nearby were more expensive

Perfect Getaway

The house was very easy to get to and felt secluded. The property was beautiful and we even had saw some horses in the neighboring field. The house was decorated very well and was spotless when we got there. Check-in and check-out was very simple. Many great trails nearby. This cabin is much preferable to any of the campgrounds nearby. Great stay, highly recommend!

Peaceful stay

Awesome little place to stay. Incredible views. Peaceful area. Fit our family of 4 perfect. We used this as a hub for climbing at horse shoe canyon ranch which was a 20 minute drive. Would stay here again. Has everything you need. Clark is extremely responsive and accommodating.

Our family has been in Arkansas since 1819 and settled the Upper Buffalo River Valley in the 1830's. They settled in the Ponca and Boxley area, where much of our family still resides today.
Buffalo View Cabin sits on our families 6th generational farm. We live close by and are farmers and ranchers in the area. Our farm borders the Buffalo National Park to the South, with great views of the Upper Osage Watershed area and Buffalo River Valley. For many years we have wanted to find a way for others to enjoy the natural view of the Upper Buffalo area too. Finally, our dreams have come true and we have been blessed with the opportunity to share this experience with others. We wanted to give others an experience that was different than the average home or cabin. That's why we decided to go with the "Tiny Home Experience." We wanted to provide an unique experience that was like camping but with luxury and all the extras. We hope you enjoy your stay and get that tiny home camping feeling without having to rough it too much!! :)
