The Thousand Island Hart House is the perfect setting for an exclusive destination vacation retreat. Coming in at just under 10,000 square feet, this grand home allows guests ample cozy spots to enjoy each other's company for the holiday. Whip up your delicious meal in our chef's dream kitchen, which includes large stainless steel prep space, wood chopping block and a center island for grazers to come and go all day long.
Seating isn't limited in our substantial dining room overlooking the golf course. After meals, have wonderful fireside conversations, head out to the fire pit and enjoy the beautiful river sunsets, put on a family classic movie or simply explore the grand home that is all yours for your stay.
This all-inclusive destination experience can be as simple as whole property rental cooking your own meals or as luxurious as a fully catered add-on with music and entertainment options. The choice is yours! Your magical holiday awaits you at the Hart House. Treat your family or group to an exclusive historic property. Part of the Boldt Castle lore, in a property once owned by George Boldt. DON'T share your room! We have 10 rooms for 20 people.

You can reserve the entire house for a long weekend or a whole week!

Before George Boldt transformed Heart Island into the famed Boldt Castle, there was the Hart House. A portion of the mansion was carefully slid across the ice to it's current home on Wellesley Island's Thousand Islands Country Club golf course. The Hart House is being brought back to it's earlier Victorian grandeur for guests to enjoy. It features ample living space with a grand living room, long sitting room, a warm and inviting tranquility reading room and eight beautifully appointed bedrooms. Two large rooms on the first floor (one wheelchair accessible) welcome you to the Hart House. A beautiful staircase whisks you past a grand fireplace to the six second floor bedrooms. The commercial style kitchen is huge with lots of room to work. We have relationships with several chefs should you desire to have your meals prepared for you - leaving more time to spend with family and friends.

Hart house vacation

Great space

Hart house was a great place for our family gathering. Plenty of space with a full commercial kitchen. The property is being upgraded, and the owners are doing the right things to make this a potentially great place to enjoy time in the Thousand Islands. Keep up the great work Jamie and Marianne.

Perfect for a big group

Great for a large group

The owners were extremely helpful through the rental process and gave a really nice tour upon our arrival. The house was very comfortable for a large group and was a nice location right across from the river and TI Club.

We were a very large group of 17. The kitchen was great to work in.

We would definitely return to this property. It was very well maintained. The beds were very comfy. The bathroom towels, etc were luxurious. There were bathrooms connected with each room for privacy. The living areas of the house were large with plenty of seating. The tranquility room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. This home is a historical home with an interesting history. The sunset from the large dining room was spectacular. AN ALL AROUND BEAUTIFUL HOME AND GREAT AREA FOR FAMILY VACATION.

Family Vacation

The Heart House was a pleasant place to stay that was centrally located to many attractions in the Thousand Islands that is rich in history. As this is a new addition to VRBO, the house is off to a good start. It was more than ample space to accommodate the 14 people in our family with large living rooms with period furniture to a spacious dining area we were able to enjoy spending time together. The bedrooms with new mattresses were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The house is equipped with wi-fi but there is no cable television so if you are traveling and this is important to you please make sure you take this into account. Thank you!

オーナー : Jamie and Marianne Kalousdian

Jamie:
Jamie’s background in Hospitality began in California growing up in the resort town of Lake Tahoe. Working in ski resorts, restaurants, casinos and hotels gave him a wide spectrum of experiences catering to guests. In the San Francisco Bay Area he worked for several corporate restaurant chains and was even part of the opening team for the San Francisco Ghirardelli Square location of the Chart House, a national restaurant chain. Jamie stepped away from proper hospitality work to pursue a media production career. After meeting Marianne, getting married in the 1000 Islands, they eventually relocated to Ithaca His evolving passion for entrepreneurship led him back to his hospitality roots. In 2019, he obtained his masters in Hospitality Management with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration. In his last semester he was awarded the contract for The Wellesley Hotel Restaurant and opened the weekend he graduated. He continued to run the Wellesley summer 2020 and has truly found a calling in hospitality operations.

Marianne
Marianne’s passion for the Hart House property stems from a longtime vision and affinity for the grandeur and beauty of the river and its history. The elegance of an antique Garwood or Chris Craft wooden boat slicing through the sunlit blue river waves embodies the feeling of tranquility and a time of slower pace. Marianne has practiced a professional career as a Registered Nurse and licensed Acupuncturist. She holds a Masters Degree in Education and has been a long time teacher and community educator in the fields of health and wellness. She has entrepreneurial experience owning and operating her own Montessori school for 15 years. Her background in western and eastern medicine drives her interest to serve people and the community. Her desire is to create spaces that offer a place of respite and escape from daily stressors to allow for balance and connection to healthy values of both mind and body.

The Hart house is in the heart of the 1000 lslands. Easily get to Clayton, Alex Bay or even Canada (when they let us back in) within minutes. This central location gives you access to 1000 Island activities.
