"LE SESAME" charming gite near Colmar

Our charming cottage, of 75m² and with a capacity of 4 people, will seduce you with its comfort and cozy interior. It is composed of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen open to the living room, a living room and 2 toilets.

The accommodations are new, on one level and easy to access.

Two free parking spaces are available in the courtyard.
You also have the option of storing your bikes in a closed room.
A cycle path is located near our gîte.
Cycling enthusiasts can take the cycle path along the canal, located 100 metres away, to reach Colmar or even Strasbourg for the more courageous.

Our village is ideally located and will allow you to discover the most beautiful sites and villages in Alsace. You can also visit Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé, the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle and our beautiful wine route, the National Automobile Museum in Mulhouse.

The beautiful city of Colmar with its beautiful colourful half-timbered houses is just 5km away by car.

Europa-Park, voted the best amusement park in the world in 2019, is 36 km away.

Hikers will also find their happiness by walking the trails in the Vosges Mountains.


We are 5 minutes from the motorway linking Strasbourg (45 minutes), Mulhouse (30 minutes) and Basel (50 minutes), close to Germany (20 minutes) and Switzerland.

Colmar train station is 15 minutes away.

A super property and nice to have a little garden to sit in. Very comfortable and Vincent was a very helpful and generous host. We went to Germany for a couple of days, Les Vosges, Colmar and Les Beau Villages. A lot of driving but we saw and did a lot too. A lovely place to return to each evening, thank you

Excellent Gite !

Have stayed in many holiday rentals in Europe, The Sesame is one of the best. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and decorated. Our host Jacques was amazing- loved the wine and homemade bread. Great location for touring the area. Highly recommended.

Better than it looked in the photos

We had a very comfortable stay at Le Sesame - the property was beautiful, modern, clean and really well-equipped, especially in the kitchen. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and was available online to answer any questions. The location suited us well, with on-site parking and convenient to travel to the lovely villages in the region, as well as hopping over to Germany too.

Lovely little apartment with friendly hosts

We were charmed by the Ley family as perfect hosts bringing us homemade breads and suggestions for excursions. The place was immaculate with well equipped kitchen and well designed large bathroom. Really appreciated to small water closet by the bedrooms. Located in a small village just 10 minutes away from Colmar. Central location makes it easy to drive to all the pretty towns in central Alsace. Thanks Vincent.

The Perfect Stay

We wanted a quiet 3 month getaway in a small, rural French village close to a larger town and needed 2 bedrooms so friends/family could stay for short periods. We saw reviews saying "Le Sesame" was exactly like the pictures (and it was). On arrival, our hosts greeted us with wine and bread which we promptly sat down and enjoyed with them. The accommodation was exactly what we'd wanted. We quickly realised how close things were, including beautiful Colmar and the amazing vineyard covered, gingerbread house villages dotted around it. We bought 2nd hand bikes (our primary means of transport) and enjoyed riding along the canals so close to us. We also took the local bus often. It's not a frequent service but it terminates at Colmar train station, is inexpensive, and so convenient given your bus stop is <100m from your front door. From Colmar train station, we travelled to other French cities (Strasbourg is a must), Germany and Switzerland. Host Vincent bakes and sells bread onsite Wednesdays and Fridays (oh, that wonderful smell). We had some very minor issues while living there but Vincent responded very quickly to those, so we were never inconvenienced. We want to thank our hosts for being so welcoming, helpful and friendly towards us during the 3 months we lived there. We can highly recommend "Le Sesame" and the Alsace region to those seeking respite from the more touristy French areas.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter hat uns persönlich empfangen und uns den Urlaubsstart mit selbst gebackenem Brot und Gugelhupf versüßt. Wickerschwihr ist ein guter Start für Ausflüge in die nahegelegenen beliebten Orte wie Colmar, Kaysersberg, etc.Von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung!

Joli petit village Alsacien calme et accueillant à moins de 10 mn de Colmar. Location très propre , très fonctionnelle, avec tous les équipements et de qualité. Hôte très accueillant et très disponible. Parking à l'intérieur de la cour près du logement. Cela fait la deuxième fois que nous prenons cette location. Nous recommandons vivement cette location. De nombreux villages Alsaciens à visiter, le vieux Colmar.

Wir hatten ein paar sehr angenehme Tage in der Ferienwohnung verbringen dürfen. Ausstattung und Zustand der Wohnung entsprechen der Beschreibung. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wie wurden sehr nett mit Brot, Gugelhupf und Cremant vom Gastgeber Vincent Ley empfangen. Eine sichere Unterstellmöglickeit für unsere Fahrräder war vorhanden. Von Wickerschwihr aus konnten wir mit dem Rad und dem Auto sehr bequem die schönen Städte und Sehenswürdigkeiten im Elsass und den Vogesen erreichen.

Sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit einer Terrasse vor und einer hinter dem Haus. Super ausgestattet, es hat nichts gefehlt. Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Zwei Schlafzimmer mit guten Betten, es gibt ein Bad und ein separates WC. Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Sehr freundliche Begrüßung durch Monsieur Ley mit leckeren Backwaren aus eigener Produktion und einer Flasche Cremant. In der Wohnung gibt es einen Ordner mit Ausflugszielen, Restaurants und anderen wichtigen Adressen. Die Wohnung liegt optimal für Ausflüge nach Colmar und in die Umgebung. Colmar ist entlang eines malerischen Kanals und der Ill in ca. 20min per Ebike erreichbar. Nach Strasbourg geht es 2x pro Stunde problemlos per Zug ab Colmar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

Wir hatten zu viert einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Aufenthalt im „Le sesame“. Diese Ferienwohnung ist nicht nur sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, sondern ist auch schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl, auch weil Vincent immer für uns ansprechbar war. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Ferienhaus Sesame ist wunderschön gestaltet und punktet mit absoluter Sauberkeit und stilvoller, hochwertiger Einrichtung. Es ist sehr ruhig dort und es hat uns gut gefallen, dass sogar elektrische Rollladen vorhanden waren, so dass man u.a. die Schlafräume abdunkeln konnte. Der Eigentümer ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer für Fragen offen. Wir haben eine Woche dort verbracht und uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt, so dass wir sehr gerne wiederkommen würden.
