Quiet in-town refuge

Well-equipped apartment with sweet balcony over-looking a pristine pool. Felt like a little community with folks talking and visiting one another - very homey.

Low quality apartment in Carcassonne

Very disappointing stay at what was listed as a two bedroom apartment but is actually one BR plus a slouch in the combined kitchenette/living space. While the place was basically clean, there was a mildew smell and we had to clean shower drain because it was backing up. Pool was emptied despite it still being September and 32 C outside. No oven mitts, no tablecloth, no wash cloths or hand towels, terrible double bed with plastic underneath fitted sheet, not enough toilet paper, paper towels or garbage bags for our stay. Very bare bones. Broken toaster. Quality poor. The pctures did not equate with our experience.

Disappointing

This could have been a very good stay but there were several things which were annoying as follows: Uncomfortable furniture (metal dining chairs, sofa that sags, double bed makes noises from plastic mattress cover) Bathroom – no floor mat, no hand towels Kitchen – no tea towel, one champagne glass, no wine glasses (in France!) Bedroom – no air conditioning (the temperature was in the high 30’s several days) Pool area – no outdoor furniture so nowhere to sit after a swim Instructions for access very complicated and sent too late to print out Time of arrival was 4 pm as per our booking with VRBO and changed to 5 pm by the owners/managers prior to our arrival No tourist information, maps, or list of restaurants which are usually left for renters Value for money comparison: More expensive on a daily basis than the two previous weeks where we had excellent properties with usable pools in Provence and the Cevennes and with none of the deficiencies of this property.

Extremely disappointing

We have never been more disappointed in accommodation booked through VRBO or any other agent. The VRBO website clearly describes the flat as being both in the city and on the waterfront, it is neither and the location is not attractive. The VRBO website states 2 bedrooms, it hasn’t. There is a sofa bed in the kitchen/dining room/living room. The pictures on the website do not represent the reality, eg the ‘one’ bedroom looks cosy and comfortable. The reality we faced was an unmade bed with a creased dark green undersheet and the actual bedding stuffed in a cupboard. The flat is sparsely and cheaply furnished. The common parts of the development are not nurtured and we certainly would not have wished to sit in the garden or use the pool. As a result we refused to stay in the apartment and had to make other arrangements at 8.30 in the evening. We contacted the owners who effectively blamed us for not researching the accommodation well enough rather than accepting their obvious misrepresentation. We are now seeking a full refund. We have photographs and website screen shots to verify our complaint. We would definitely not recommend this apartment.

Appartement très bien agencé. Parfait avec tous les produits de première nécessité. Procédure d'arrivée très claire quand on suit le document envoyé. Residence de 2 étages dans quartier tranquille.

Wenn erforderlich schicken wir Fotos

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, die Ferienwohnug in Carcassonne entsprach in vielerlei Hinsicht nicht unseren Erwartungen. 1. Wenn eine Ferienwohnung zur internationalen kontaklosen Vermietung angeboten wird, dann erwarte wir, daß die Beschreibung, wie die Wohnung zu benutzen ist, mindestens in englischer Sprache angeboten wird. Wir haben per Email eine mehrseitige Information in französischer Sprache erhalten. 2. Auf Ihrer Website bewerben Sie die Ferienwohnung mit WLAN-Zugang, Satelliten-TV und Gemeinschaftspool. Nichts von dem war vorhanden oder funktionierte. Wir hatten wohl ein Home-Netz aber ohne Internet. Eine Email an den Vermieter brachte keine Verbesserung. Auf dem TV- Gerät konnte man nur französische Sender einstellen, also kein Satelliten-TV und der Gemeinschaftspool war abgedeckt. 3. Auch hinsichtlich Ausstattung und Sauberkeit ließ die Ferienwohnug zu wünschen übrig. Die Wohnung ist ja für vier Personen ausgelegt. So gab es z.B. ein Sektglas aber nicht ein Weinglas. Was die Sauberkeit anbelangt haben wir Fotos beigefügt. Auch die Nähe zum Flugplatz hätte man erwähnen müssen, den der Fluglärm war auch nachts nicht zu überhören. MfG

Très bon séjour

Logement fonctionnel et spacieux situé proche de la gare ainsi que du centre de Carcassonne. Bon point de départ pour découvrir les environs.

Excellent appartement

Tout s’est très bien passé, de la récupération de clefs jusqu’au départ. Apparemment conforme aux attentes, calme et relativement proche de tous commerces. Piscine très propre,… je conseille sans hésiter !!!

nous n'avons vu personne

nous aurions aimer voir quelqu'un qui nous guide pour les clefs car nous les avons cherché 20 mn car nous n'avions pu imprimer les photos que nous avons reçu surtout voir les personnes pour avoir des explicitons sur l'appartement nous avons 75 ans et mon mari marche avec un déambulateur
